“A perfect stay from start to finish”

We had a fabulous four night stay here and just loved everything about Hotel Piazza Bellini which is so well situated and perfect for a stay in the city’s historic quarter. Although Naples is a vibrant city, the hotel is peaceful and calm, with a lovely courtyard where guests can sit and relax. All the staff that we encountered, from our initial email contact when staff were extremely prompt and helpful with their replies, made us feel like valued guests. However, particular mention has to be made of Elena and Martina (waiting staff) who really were so friendly and fantastic, always going that extra mile to provide tip-top service; nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you to both of them. Breakfast, which was served from 7.30.-10.30, is buffet style and was excellent, with a great choice of hot and cold food. In my experience, Italian breakfasts are usually sweet (cakes, pastries etc) but the breakfast choices here included lots of savoury food (omelette, sausages, hard boiled eggs, yoghurt, cold cuts, smoked salmon, cheese, salads etc) as well as fruit, pastries, cakes and bread; there really was something for everyone, whatever their preference. The weather was warm and sunny during our stay so we, and most of the guests, had breakfast in the courtyard which was the perfect start to our day. My friend and I had a twin room (#503) which was spacious, clean and comfortable with lovely views from the two windows. The beds were comfortable, with good quality bedding; I especially liked the lightweight duvet. The bathroom was large and well appointed, including having a bidet, and had nice toiletries and a hairdryer. Housekeeping was very good too. It’s also worth noting that staff will arrange taxis to / from the airport at a standard fixed fare which is helpful and avoids any unpleasant confrontations over the fare, something that, unfortunately, seems to be happening in Naples. The hotel offers food and, although it’s not a large menu, we were impressed with the quality of the food. One evening, we each ordered some cold meats, cheese with chutney, honey and bread and, not only was it really delicious, but it was very good value at €20 for the two servings. I also enjoyed the coffee (latte) which was also good value at €3 and always served extra hot, at my request. Our stay really was delightful with no shortcomings anywhere. You can’t really get any better than that! I highly recommend Hotel Piazza Bellini.

Fantastic stay at Hotel Piazza. Top class in their category. Clean. Spacious triple room Comfortable beds. Clean and spacious bathroom. Something for everyone at the breakfast buffet. Those who worked there was friendly, helpful and kind, regardless of what their task was at the hotel. The courtyard of the hotel was fantastic. Like a oasis. A place to unwind after a busy day on Napoli´s bustling street life sipping on a lemon spritz. Outside the hotel is Piazza Bellini full of life, people, bars and restaurants as a nice contrast to the calm courtyard of the hotel. Hardly any traffic. When we go back to Napoli we will choose this hotel again.

Great location with excellent people. The rooms are clean and state of the art. The bathrooms are not. “A comfortable stay”

We stayed here for two nights before spending Easter at Sorrento. Pluses were the top-class reception team who were very helpful; our room (608) which had a door onto a large terrace with magnificent views of Vesuvius and the city; and its large bathroom with a bath. Minuses (which might not worry other people) were that we had to carry our suitcases up and down steps between the lift and our room, and breakfast was unexciting. The hotel is in the student area, convenient for the excellent archaeological museum and with historic streets nearby. Despite the bustle outside, our room was quiet. If we visited Naples again, we'd probably choose to stay near the opera house, which is about half an hour's walk. For those who prefer a lively environment, this hotel would be ideal.
