Small hotel a few steps from one of the main streets in the historic centre of Naples (originally the Greek settlement of Nea Polis 'new city') -- great location for tons of restaurants and historically significant architectural highlights. The metro (Dante stop) is 10 minutes walk, and it takes 10 minutes from there to Piazza Garibaldi. The hotel is small and quite comfortable, clean and well kept, though the bathrooms could do with an update (I stayed in two different rooms and in both the shower mounting didn't function and the shower fell to the floor and could only be used by hand). The bed was huge and firm, there are blackout curtains (essential for summer) and the airconditioning worked efficiently (it was 38 degrees during the day, 28 at night so aircon was a must). The staff were friendly and helpful and booked a fixed price taxi to the airport on departure (thus avoiding taxi ripoffs). The breakfast was typical Italian/continental buffet, but got a bit boring after a week of the same food on offer (no cooked breakfast is available). Note that the hotel is at the back of a small piazzetta off the Via Francesco del Giudice (which has no vehicle access) and can be hard to find, especially at night when the area is closed off by large doors and the hotel entrance is unmarked. Recommended for a comfortable stay in the centre of Naples.

I stayed twice at the Hoel Neapolis, once before my hiking trip with a group and once at the end of the trip so I could make a side trip to Pompeii. The first stay, I had a double room and the second time I had a single room. The single room was quite small, but since I was out most of the day it didn't really matter. Rooms were clean, the staff were helpful and the breakfast ample. They had a variety of breads, cereals, fruit juices, meats, yogurt, and cheeses. The first night, I had a room that faced a street and it was a bit noisy with singing and loud conversations. During my second stay, my room faced the courtyard and it was very quiet. It was difficult to find initially, since the cab driver at the train station dropped me at the wrong place. During my second stay, the cab driver had no difficulty finding the hotel. The hotel is located in the old part of Naples, and within walking distance of many attractions.

Great location in area of significant history and has heaps of choices for food lovers. The front rooms are noisy at night due to the hustle and bustle of the area. But it quietens down by midnight. Great location in area of significant history and has heaps of choices for food lovers. The front rooms are noisy at night due to the hustle and bustle of the area. But it quietens down by midnight. You don’t need an alarm as the harmony of the dump truck doing it’s morning cleanup will awaken you to the new day. The breakfast is just ok and I’d suggest eating out at any number of the nearby pastry & coffee shops. The rooms are well serviced and always clean. There is no aircond despite advertising it (due to commune rules they said?). The lift to the hotel (3rd level) is tiny and tricky to use, & wouldn’t pass a safety inspection if they’re ever carried out. The ammenities listed should be taken lightly as they’re somewhat overrated, but as a basic place to stay it’s ok.

“Amazing position in the heart of Napoli”

This hotel has a great position in the heart of Naples, walking distance from Cristo Velato, Piazza del Gesú, SpaccaNapoli, Via San Gregorio Armeno, etc. A bit noisy but in an amazing position. Highly reccommended
