I've given the Colombo an excellent rating because of its value for money. You've all probably read the comments about the area but most people we definitely did not feel unsafe at all. Hotel is a pleasant surprise, great service and communication from all the staff. Couldn't do enough for us and all requests were fulfilled. “Great basic hotel, close to train, airport bus, old town”
Second time I've stayed here, basic hotel, very friendly staff, short walk to airport bus, station, old town Breakfast was fine Room was a good size, I remember from last time the shower was very small and drain somewhat blocked, same again this time
