We booked into the majestic after a terrible experience with the hotel we had originally booked nearby. We walked into the hotel to inquire if they had two twin rooms available. We were warmly greeted at the front desk and advised to book on-line for a better rate. We were upgraded and our rooms were immediately available. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are huge, with a full-sized bathtub. The beds are were also very comfortable, probably the most comfortable of our holiday. There are electric blinds which could be operated at the bedside and very well lit. The pillows were fluffy and very welcome after a long day of sightseeing. The room were immaculate and cleaned daily with fresh towels. The hotel is located in the Chiaia neighborhood, with gorgeous designer shops and fantastic restaurants. Everything is within walking distance. Everyone at the front desk was lovely. They were friendly and responsive. When they called a taxi for us, it appeared in minutes. Their restaurant suggestions were very good, as well as providing information for sightseeing. There is a bar downstairs with later afternoon and evening hours. We did not take advantage, so I cannot speak to the service. It was very quite. Breakfast is provided for a fee and offers a nice selection of pastries and cold items. Scrambles eggs and bacon were also on offer. I would have given the hotel five stars, however, the air-conditioning did not go below 20.5C (69F) and did not cool our room. However, I believe the air-conditioning in my sister's room worked well enough. Also the electrical outlets were a bit temperamental and wouldn't hold a plug well enough to operate. Minor inconveniences, however the air-conditioning could be a problem in the summer months. The winning factors were the staff, the rooms and the location. I would stay here again if in Naples.

Great location. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Rooms ok but should provide free bottles of water and tea/coffee facility. Where it went wrong. No iron in room so had to get key to unlock ironing room and run up/down stairs with clothing. One lift was out of service. These points not… more

Great location. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Rooms ok but should provide free bottles of water and tea/coffee facility. Where it went wrong. No iron in room so had to get key to unlock ironing room and run up/down stairs with clothing. One lift was out of service. These points not ideal. The biggest let down is the breakfast. Service is awful as I had to ask for a table to be cleaned when there were about 10 open and dirty. Not much option for warm food. I had to ask for refill of milk which took 10 minutes to come back out. No glasses for the breakfast juices but paper coffee cups. All tea/coffee DIY in horrible mugs. No spoons on the table. Service is slow, choices are limited. It has an echoey canteen vibe. This seriously needs improvement and is not the style of a 4* hotel. Would I stay here again? No.

Nice hotel though very little English spoken, room was nice and very clean.There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and absolutely no English speaking television channels. There are some nice restaurants nearby ( turn right out of hotel entrance). We were on the third floor (305) and our view was of office block windows, not great!!! Breakfast at best was okay, In all this hotel lacked any atmosphere and seemed to be geared to business guests, the area itself is quite a way from the centre of Naples, but the metro is only a short walk away.
