My wife and I stayed in a suite in the grand hotel Europe for five nights in February. Firstly, the taxi from the airport to the hotel cost us 40 euros. The return organiser by the hotel cost 28 euros. Its a drive of about 20 minutes. The hotel is situated 5 minutes walk from the train station. There was always lots of police around the station but we never saw anything untoward at all, everyone perfectly behaved and mannerly. The hotel is on a street but our room was very quiet. I'd describe the room as period authentic, it had a period bathroom with a good strong and hot shower. The rooms were immaculately cleaned every day and the bed was very comfy. It Had a TV which accepted our firestick. No kettle and no side tables but we were totally comfortable. Breakfast was very nice, cereal, toast scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon , and lots of cakes and pastries. Gino the breakfast server takes pride in what he does and he's very good indeed. We ate our full every morning and Gino always offered more. The hotel is not 5 star but it's a good 3 star, unless you normally stay at the Ritz I'd say you would be very comfortable and happy here.

The hotel was very clean and very affordable. The staff were so accommodating because my plans kept changing and they were able to help me out, always with a smile on their face. Early evenings I was always given a small treat from the restaurant for free to try out, the staff who did this were so sweet. I also like the proximity to the train station, although the area at night wasn’t as nice as I’d have liked but I guess you can’t have everything!

This is a lovely 3 star hotel that is very well positioned as a base to explore Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento, Capri and the Amalfi Coast. It's a couple of minutes from Naples Garibaldi train station, from where you can travel to virtually anywhere in Italy. A short walk away, near the train station, there are lots of decent restaurants and bars. Internally the hotel is beautiful, with a traditional interior and classic features. The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard. The breakfast is good, with cereals, pastries and traditional cooked options. People have commented on the immediate location of the hotel and like a lot of Naples, it is a bit run down. Don't less this put you off though, we saw no problems.

“Near the train station; my room outdated but great happy hour and quaint main floor”
I chose this hotel because it was near the train station. It's very close. My room was very basic but for some reason, I didn't mind it. There was no view out the window because there was a security screen over it. I was on an upper floor and the lift only went up to a certain level, so I had… more
I chose this hotel because it was near the train station. It's very close. My room was very basic but for some reason, I didn't mind it. There was no view out the window because there was a security screen over it. I was on an upper floor and the lift only went up to a certain level, so I had to use the stairs for to get to my floor. However, the ground floor had all the character. It had a nastalgic, quaint feel about it. The small bar had a fabulous happy hour offering sandwiches etc. I am gluten free and they were able to offer me this option. Excellent service staff. I had such a good time during the happy hour and following hours. It was just one of those special travel moments when everything just clicks....the dynamics of who was there, etc. Breakfast was included. It was expansive and staff served the food. I would recommend this hotel if you need to be near the train station. I don't know how well it's located to sightseeing locations because I only stayed there to suit my next-day travel plans.

We booked the Grand Europa Hotel as a base for exploring the surrounding area including Pompeii , Herculaneum and Rome. This is a lovely hotel which is literally a couple of minutes from Grand Central station, so was ideal for our purpose. The reception staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and fine. The evening bar is a plus point as the snack food is exceptional and the barman is a lovely helpful smiling man. The breakfast was the only disappointment which was a real shame, but there are numerous places at the station to get a better experience. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
