“Bit run down but worth a stay”

Hotel itself is a bit run down but i am sure you will enjoy your stay. Staff are excellent, nothing is too much trouble, especially lady at reception and Pasquale who seems to have 5 different jobs at the hotel. Hotel itself is a bit run down but i am sure you will enjoy your stay. Staff are excellent, nothing is too much trouble, especially lady at reception and Pasquale who seems to have 5 different jobs at the hotel. Breakfast is sufficient without being great but dining room meals are very good.Great location within walking distance to town and tourist sights. Rooms are varied, some in old world charm, others a little 'way out'. Room we stayed in was adequate in size and comfort but bathroom needed work. shower quite small and curtain replaced missing door. Would stay there again, mainly for convenience and the great location and staff.

We stayed for 4 nights with friends and their children , the pool was most welcomed by us all ! Charming hotel like going back in time with traditional service , a proper hotel shabby chic with style Very helpful staff and lovely family run hotel , perfect location for visiting the town and only a 4min walk to the Fenicular up to Montecatini Alto , highly recommend Wow restaurant up there if you are a seafood lover , amazing location with breathtaking views

This hotel takes you twenty years back in terms of interior, but it weighs up in charm. And: Staff is fantastic. Every single staff around really showed dedication and pride - and made us feel so comfortable. Great breakfast and a gigantic room and bath. Pool area is also quiet and nice - although the hotel would not hurt get an upgrade. Would definlity come back. Five minutes down to city center.

Summary: The mostly friendly staff is making the most of what they have - which is a rundown hotel in dire need a renovation and modernization. The hotel gets 2** and the staff 3-4**. All in all you, if you are looking just for a place to stay then it is ok price/value. Pro: Reasonable and basic breakfast. Possibility for a tasty omelette (3€ extra charge) Quiet area approx. 10 min walk from the city centre Friendly staff Reasonably clean rooms with a balcony Pool area is ok Ok food in the restaurant (only ate there one night) Con: Hotel is worn down and past its former glory. The pool needs cleaning and renovation. 3 days before we left the pool filtering/pumps broke leaving us w/o a pool for 2 days. Got a tiny tiny discount due to that. The beds have a bed frame, which you often hit with your shins = I ended up having two bruised shins (ouch) The City tax apparently has to be paid in cash (no explanation as to why it could not be paid w/credit card) Noisy aircon in our room Room was not really clean when we checked in, was doghairs on the floor. The staff however fixed it when we made a remark about it).
