“A MUST TO SEE”
Everything was simply incredible! Impeccable service, beautiful atmosphere and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. The place is stunning the view incredible, our room was absolutely incredible!! Highly recommend this hotel for an amazing experience in Matera!

We loved our room here - the huge bath was gorgeous and the views from our patio were amazing. The staff and breakfast were all good too. The only thing was that I wasn’t expecting to have to pay extra for the transfer from the garage - considering it wasn’t possible to drive to the hotel so we ha… more

The only thing was that I wasn’t expecting to have to pay extra for the transfer from the garage - considering it wasn’t possible to drive to the hotel so we had no option but to use the transfer I would have expected this to be included.

An outstanding experience from start to finish! The room was not only spacious and spotless but also designed with comfort in mind, making it the perfect place to unwind. The facilities were modern, high-quality, and well-maintained, exceeding all expectations. The staff was exceptionally welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive to our needs, always going the extra mile to ensure a memorable stay. The location was also ideal, adding to the overall convenience. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

“Excellently located but disappointing overall given the price.”
While the location is excellent, I felt as if the Sant'Angelo charged 5-star prices for a 4-star experience. A lot of things felt tired or worn out -- starting with the "Welcome" card in the room that clearly had not been switched out for some time (it was dinged and bent and dingy). The floor in… more
While the location is excellent, I felt as if the Sant'Angelo charged 5-star prices for a 4-star experience. A lot of things felt tired or worn out -- starting with the "Welcome" card in the room that clearly had not been switched out for some time (it was dinged and bent and dingy). The floor in the shower was chipped and cracked, the furniture in the breakfast room needed a fresh coat of paint, etc., etc. Overall I felt that for approximately the same price we got much better accommodations and service in both Lecce and Ostuni. I would not recommend the Sant'Angelo to others.

Hotel is well situated in Matera - rooms are spread out and not within the Reception area - those with a view and small terrace are large, clean and beautiful. Staff is very attentive and did a great job helping with reservations and private transportation. While no fault of Hotel, if you have mobility issues be forewarned that there are many steps to climb to access both room location and within some rooms. Their restaurant which has a great view requires even more climbing.
