We stayed in the Hotel Miramar, Sirmione for two weeks B&B in August this year. From start to finish we had a fabulous holiday. The hotel staff are wonderful, friendly & very helpful. They don’t all speak english and really appreciated us trying our few Italian words and even helped us with pronunciation. The hotel itself was perfect. It’s a boutique 3 star hotel, but don’t let that fool you. It has everything you could want. We booked a room with large balcony facing the lake and it was fabulous. Lovely to sit and watch the boats go by and the sunsets were amazing. Room spotless with sofa, double bed, mini-bar and bathroom with shower & hairdryer. The pool and garden area is extremely clean and well maintained, plenty of sunbeds, umbrellas and trees for shade. Direct access to lake for swimming. The bar is open 24 hours, which was great for a quiet drink when you returned to hotel in the evening. Breakfast was plentiful & tasty, no you’re not getting a big fry up but who wants that, your in ltaly! There’s a small tasty Lunch menu available, which we had on a few of our pool days. They also do evening menu if you don’t fancy going out. You have to book this during the day, including what food you want. But it was well worth doing so. The dinner was lovely and staff were great. Hotel location is perfect. A short walk one way into beautiful Sirmione old town centre. If you go the opposite way, you have a lovely long boardwalk all along the lake to a quaint little harbour with some lovely restaurants (Spiaggia sirmione). Sirmione old town is so beautiful but obviously as it was August, very busy. A great choice of restaurants, few shops and loads of shops selling ice cream of every imaginable flavour. We also got the boat over to Desenzano for the day which was also a lovely town, bigger than Sirmione. Big thanks to Stephen & all the wonderful staff at Hotel Miramar for making our holiday so special. We will definitely return, Debbie & Liam

“Fabulous”

Location is perfect, 10 mins walk to the main part of Sirmione and the hotel has fabulous views over lake which can be observed from the restaurent area, garden and pool area. Stayed here for 10 nights and it was great. Location is perfect, 10 mins walk to the main part of Sirmione and the hotel has fabulous views over lake which can be observed from the restaurent area, garden and pool area. Very quiet around the garden and pool area and there was always a sunbed and a shaded area available at any point in the day, whether it be an umbrella or under the lovely pine or olive trees. Rooms basic but clean and beds made everyday. Prices at the bar are reasonable for lunch and drinks. We found the staff very friendly, yes some don't speak fluent English but they give it a good go and at the end of the day, you're in Italy!! One tip, take beach shoes to enter the lake. It is a bit clay like on entering and a few pebbles but once in, amazing!

Had lovely room facing lake. Quiet atmosphere with pool and green area directly on lake. Also got to see a cute family of swans. Very friendly and helpful staff at reception and breakfast. Breakfast good and sufficient also with delicious croissants. Would only suggest adding some lettuce and cucumbers as a veggie lover. Moreover, hotel is very close to castle centre only 10 minute walk to catch ferry or eat dinner. Highly recommended!

quite well situated and nice view and pool. however the service at breakfast wasn't professional at all, I wanted to sit at a table and the waitress yelled at me in Italian for no reason as the table wasn't reserved, she then proceeded to laugh about me with other Italian clients because I didn't... more

quite well situated and nice view and pool. however the service at breakfast wasn't professional at all, I wanted to sit at a table and the waitress yelled at me in Italian for no reason as the table wasn't reserved, she then proceeded to laugh about me with other Italian clients because I didn't understand, 5 minutes after a random couple could take the table I wanted without any problem.
