I'd just like to leave this review to express our gratitude firstly towards the lovely lady on reception. I believe her name was Sasha? From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome, given a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful room with a wrap around balcony offering stunning views of the lake. On our second night, my partner proposed to me and upon arrival back at the hotel I was so over the moon that I told Sasha. Within 10 minutes there was a knock on our door and a bottle of prosecco on ice was gifted to us. This kind of service cannot be bought. Thank you for this kindness 💗 More hotel reviews; ✨️ Room - albeit not the most modern, it was cleaned daily, fresh towels, clean bedding and floors wiped. Can't complain at all. My only constructive feedback would be to have more pillows on the bed as there is only 1 per person and it isn't the most comfortable. If you like a firm mattress, this bed is for you. ✨️ Location - Perfect! Situated up a hill its perfect to walk into the busy part or have peace and quiet away from it. Very close to Jamaica beach, a 5 minute walk downhill. If mobility is a problem, for €1.20 PP, you can use the little land train up and down the hill towards the castle until 18:30 each day. ✨️ Breakfast - ideal if you like continental with a small amount of hot food (egg & bacon). Fresh machine coffee too. Lots of nuts in breakfast items so if you have an allergy you'd be best sticking to the toast, boiled egg and tomato like I did 😋 ✨️ Pool - there is a swimming pool with loungers for you to use. Late September and it was cool but not ice cold, you could take a swim comfortably. ✨️ Lake Access - down lots of steep steps you can access a tiny area where you can take a swim. Take Swim Shoes as the walk out into the lake is VERY slippery due to algea on the rocks. You have to walk a distance before the rocks drop and you are deep enough to swim. Very clean and clear water, warmer than the pool! ✨️ Value - I feel this hotel offers a very reasonable value for money and I absolutely would stay here again Thank you once again, Chloé & Gareth 💍❤️🫶🏼✨️

Paradise hotel on very the tip of the Sirmione island, the last hotel on the island surrounded by the lake and next-door neighbor to the ruins of Grotto di Catullo. Wonderful location, hotel surrounded by olive and other trees, lake view in all directions, perfect pool, private lake access, and an excellent breakfast. Extremely friendly and forthcoming staff. Perfect place if you want to relax after too much work. It is within walking distance of everything in Sirmione but still peacefully by itself. Big thanks to the staff! Keep up the work!

We had the very best time at Hotel Ideal. As a couple of mature ladies, we wanted somewhere quietish, calm, clean, well appointed and friendly. And we got it all in spades. Initial communication was great and we rang them with our hire car registration number as soon as we picked it up so had no problems getting into the restricted part. Yes, driving through the narrow streets filled with tourists is definitely an experience but just adds to the whole trip. We had a super friendly welcome from Sebastiano, check in was smooth and our rooms were lovely, clean and the beds were super comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful, all the staff are very very friendly and efficient. We tried the locally produced wine which we recommend. We were able to relax completely as the hotel is just far enough out of the main drag, and it's a 10min walk into town. Watching the sunset across the lake with only the sparrows for company is special. Whilst it was a little too cold to experience the pool or the beach, both looked lovely. We had the very best time and cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, accommodating staff. We can't thank Simone enough for his assistance on what to see and how to get there. He also produced a bed topper immediately for this tempurpedic couple. The room was comfortable, the balcony had a lovely view of the water and sunset. Housekeeping was helpful and thorough. Our room was very clean (of great importantance to us). Each and every employee was pleasant and helpful. For us, the location outside of town, near the Roman Ruins and Jamaica Beach was perfect.

Felt very much like a 3* hotel in terms of decor and quality of food. This may appear to be a perfect location at tip of Sirmione peninsula but transport to door if you do not have your own car is challenging. Taxi at local station wouldn’t agree to take us past castle into old town then booked Uber to hotel and had to negotiate with driver to take us to door. At end of our stay walked 1km with luggage to leave area. We felt that ferries would be more reliable than other public transport options as could not easily arrange for taxi. There are ferries to all the lakeside towns from Sirmione. The swimming pool was faultless and there are lots of sun loungers shaded by olive trees with view of lake. Private access from pool area to tranquil beach. Positives Reception staff were engaging and friendly. Lovely pool and views. Sirmione great for a day Negatives. Aircon didn’t cool room as much as we’d have liked. Had to pay for drinking water. Public transport access. Basic quality breakfast.
