This is not a normal review as it is about the excellent service and integrity of the owners. I stayed here in August 2017 and reviewed the hotel facilities then. I then re-booked for this August as part of a holiday including a Venice cruise but stupidly booked as non-refundable. The cruise has been cancelled due to Covid-19 and the hotel has agreed to refund my payment. I have tried to book next year but dates are currently full. I will not book non-refundable in future. So many many thanks to the owners. Incidentally I have a similar situation with a hotel booked through Agoda.com with an entirely different outcome. Will never use Agoda again!!

“Beautiful building and pool area, good location”

This hotel is ideally located around the corner from the shuttle bus which heads into the historic centre in minutes, loved the area it was in (reminded us of California for some reason!) This hotel is ideally located around the corner from the shuttle bus which heads into the historic centre in minutes, loved the area it was in (reminded us of California for some reason!) Rooms are basic but clean and fine as a base, and good value for money. breakfast buffet was great. The pool area is lush - beautiful trees, flowers and shrubs and the pool itself is very clean and inviting. Lots of loungers to chill on. That was probably a highlight! I tried with my Italian and they humoured me so that was good but they do speak English

“Friendly hotel with a nice pool”

Our room was quite small and dated and our bathroom very small and not as pleasant as the ones in other hotels we had stayed in, although my husband thought the shower the best one. Our room was quite small and dated and our bathroom very small and not as pleasant as the ones in other hotels we had stayed in, although my husband thought the shower the best one. We had a little balcony outside our room but we couldn't sit out there because I kept getting bitten by mosquitoes. As I had a few nasty bites, I didn't want to use the pool, which was a shame because it looked good but we spent a pleasant afternoon sitting and reading by it. The staff were friendly and the breakfasts good, with eggs cooked to order every day which was a great touch. The restaurant was not open in the evening but there were plenty of good restaurants around. The hotel recommended Civico 58 and given us a money-off voucher. This restaurant was very close to the hotel and the meal was excellent. There was very much an "end of season" feel to the place: the shuttle bus to Sirmione stops running after 29th September but the manager told us we could catch a bus near the hotel to Verona. We did this and had an excellent day in Verona. However, the bus never turned up for the return journey which turned into a bit of a trek with us catching a train, then walking, then another bus so take care going to Verona! We enjoyed a drink in the bar every night, even though we were the only ones there apart from the woman behind the bar. Their house red wine was really good for 4 euros a glass! The woman also recommended another good restaurant to us and gave us a map with all the restaurants on. It was a good place to end our trip.
