On arrival, we were greeted by a friendly lady who checked us in. We had two rooms on the top floor with lake views. The beds were super comfortable and were pleasantly surprised to see a kettle with tea, coffee and herbal teas as you don’t usually get that in Italy. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the beautiful town where there are many restaurants and shops. Hotel Dori is a great place to stay if you’re planning a trip to Lake Garda.

This is a good hotel but we were very unlucky with our room - no usable window in the bedroom, as it looked out onto floor level of a metal fire escape and was heavily barred. Worst thing was the bathroom if the room opposite shared a wall with our bedroom and there was no soundproofing - we could hear the guest using the toilet and when he flushed the loo or ran the shower it sounded like a rainstorm. Fortunately we were only there one night. Hotel was full so no point asking to move. Having said that the room was comfortable, clean and spacious and there was no outside noise audible. Lovely staff and excellent breakfast with hot croissants so seems unfair to give it 3 stars.

“Great hotel, wonderfully helpful staff, good location ”

Wonderful staff who helped organise tickets to Gardaland and the opera in Verona. Hotel is in a great location with lovely rooms, underground parking and is dog friendly. Valentina was a magnificent help!

“Excellent location”

We stayed for 4 nights and this hotel fitted the bill perfectly for our brief stay at Lake Garda. Room size was adequate and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights and this hotel fitted the bill perfectly for our brief stay at Lake Garda. Room size was adequate and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was big enough and the good shower was reliable. Breakfast was excellent value, plenty of choice. The location of the hotel was perfect - just outside the old town walls and so very quiet, but just a short walk to the centre of the town with its many restaurants (although the nearest restaurant "Rivelin" was possibly the best one anyway). The bicycle hire shop next door to the hotel was really good and highly recommended.

Basic hotel. Clean, nice breakfast, great location but no character. More like a motel. Bunk beds for kids.
