We stayed at the Gardaland Hotel for the first time. Before we arrived, I requested by email a high floor room, which we did get - a nice roomy green themed room. Please note those who have not stayed before, the hotel is NOT located in the Gardaland park itself but about a 5-10min drive away. There is a free shuttle bus available to get to and from the park itself (It is too far to walk). Please note, the pickup point is outside the signs on the main road. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. They got us quickly booked in, and helped arrange for our bags to be held in a secure luggage room so that we could explore the park for the afternoon when we arrived. They also explained and showed us various things such as where to get the free shuttle bus for the park. A friendly helpful porter helped take us and our luggage to our room for us. There is nice theming throughout the hotel and rooms, and very clean. There is vending machines dotted about the buildings too, with water, coke and snacks available. We discovered some very tasty Italian cheese crisps called 'Fonzies' here! The on site bar also has some drinks and snacks available including not just alcohol, but also Tea and donuts/cake. We did not try the outside pool, but it looked clean and well maintained. The snack bar there does very nice toasties and snacks at reasonable prices. The room itself was big and roomy, and bedding/towels changed daily. It had a balcony view and both a bath and shower, plus a bidet. The room also had a free complimentary bottle of water a day, and little bathroom pack including shower caps, ear buds, tissues and nail file. There was also nice smelling useable toiletries of soap and bodywash. The shower was a little old fashioned and not very powerful, but worked ok. The main bed was a big queen size, but with a very hard mattress. Unfortunately, the TV didnt show any English channels so only Italian was available to watch. We also discovered that there was NO tea/coffee making facilities at all in the room such as a kettle etc! Please may I suggest that in future the rooms have these? Just a warning also, the walls/door are not very sound proof as we discovered with a screaming baby right next to our bedhead when trying to sleep, and kids running very loudly up and down the corridor shouting. There was entertainment on for children including face painting and meeting characters/mascots in the morning and evenings. The on site Wonder restaurant we tried the buffet dinner, and breakfasts. There was a wide selection of food and drink at both, which seemed to be well stocked/topped up. The waiters were very friendly, if a little too quick to clear your table when they think you have finished! They were very helpful if you needed anything. We particularly loved the cakes/puddings which were clearly freshly made, especially the Panna Cotta and custard pastries. On the whole, it needs a little updating but we would stay here again in future.

Bit late review was last summer trip Stayed there for one night during our summer trip and to have time for the kids enjoy 2 days in playing around. Drove there, straightforward location parked, smooth check in, took the car and parked it infront of the room. We booked months prior and asked for a specific room but didnt get it - not a big deal but would loved at least trying or letting us know - check in wasnt that nice saying it hotel didnt offer discounts or access to the parks. room design was nice for kids but not comfy beds nor that good bathrooms, nice activities, pool, also prices in the hotel good price for the room as well but should expect extremely noisy due to nature of it being a hotel mostly families taking their kids to have fun

Spotlessly clean. Nice pool (a little cold for our 3yo). Buffet restaurant food was excellent. Some damage to the building due to hailstorm but nothing that affected our stay. Spotlessly clean. Nice pool (a little cold for our 3yo). Buffet restaurant food was excellent. Some damage to the building due to hailstorm but nothing that affected our stay. A little out the way for us, no convenience shop etc within reasonable walking distance and we didn’t have a car, which could make things a little difficult. We spent a lot in the vending machines. We were half board and got a beer / wine with our evening meal. Restaurant was a little late for us, 7-9pm as our 3yo would normally be off to bed, but the restaurant staff were lovely. Drinks were priced between 6-7.50e for beer in the bar. Entertainment for kids was also a little late, 8.30pm start for kids disco. No other evening entertainment. Swim caps were required in the pool. There’s an amusement arcade and ride ons that you pay cash for. 12e for face painting. Otherwise it’s cashless hotel (card payments or a wristband you can top up with cash). Mini fridge in room, but no kettle. Kettle was hired for 20e deposit but no cups or teaspoons etc to go with it. We had taken long life milk with us, but you wouldn’t have been able to purchase any. Shuttle bus to Gardaland was great. The shuttle to the station is actually from Gardaland and reception explained that the train station is not in Peschiara itself. so it can’t be used easily to visit the town. Taxi was quoted as 15e one way for up to 4 people, but reception said that we’d be unable to book a return trip, we’d have to negotiate the return with the taxi on our way there, so we didn’t go. I wasn’t able to buy tickets for the attractions in the hotel. I was advised to buy them at the park. Used Headout.com, around £34 per person. Mostly our only major concerns were with Tui. We were picked up in a taxi, not a bus and weren’t prepared with a car seat. Trips booked through Tui picked up at Gardaland not the hotel, way before the shuttle bus operates, which required a fairly decent walk. We asked the rep for recommendations of things we could do locally in inclement weather with 3yo, she said she didn’t know and she’d get back to us; she didn’t. In summary - It’s not ideally placed for a holiday where you can easily access Gardaland but also easily see and do other things, unless you are hiring a car and drive - it’s got a large car park if you are doing this though.
