Everything about this hotel was 4* Staff couldn't have been better, always helpful and welcoming. The room was amazing and the best shower I've ever experienced. Bed was comfortable. Everything you could need for a perfect stay. Location was ideal for travelling around Lake Garda

We stayed recently for 4 nights booking through the hotels website - HB deal for the price of breakfast. We also booked taxi transfers with the hotel - communication always great. Warm welcome always from reception and early check in on arrival with complimentary welcome drinks. Room - our room was extremely comfortable and clean. Housekeeping do a fantastic job. Loved the extra touches to let you know things have been sanitized. The bedding & pillows were very comfortable (extras in cupboard). Shower fantastic. There was a kettle in the room on arrival and the mini fridge was cold enough to chill your milk and store some drinks. You could also ask at the bar for some ice for your room. I would say the air conditioning isn’t the strongest we’ve experienced and personally I wonder how effective it is in the height of summer. Food - it was a little hit and miss, breakfast and salad bar at dinner always more or less the same. Great quality and selection all around but in the morning, the hot items need to be replenished quicker and possibly look at the settings as the food is not kept hot. You choose your evening meal for the evening in the morning. The main meals and desserts weren’t always to my taste but a large salad and the lovely pasta dishes were always enough. The Staff, bar one were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful with smiles. Lovely to see the same faces each day recognise you and ask how your holiday’s going. Unfortunately, I feel further training is required for one of the pool bar gents. Unwelcoming, no smile and we felt as if we were an inconvenience at times. The length of time to deliver drinks sometimes was not great, and this was even at quiet times by the pool. On Monday night, there was entertainment - we had a view of the bar/singer. This staff took our order of a glass of wine and cocktail, went to the bar and proceeded to then stand watching the singer with another staff member. I sat for a while wondering what was going on. Another couple then came, sat down next to us and this same person came, took their order and they both immediately started working on it! I called him over, canceled our order and left. Money lost. However, the overall experiance wasn’t tarnished with this. Would highly recommend.

The Sky Pool hotel in Garda is wonderfully situated, just five minutes walk from the promenade and narrow avenues of restaurants and shops. Its main feature, of course, is the rooftop swimming pool with a surround of sun-loungers and a cafe for indoor/outdoor lunches. The main dining area for breakfast and evening meal is on the ground floor. Our room was very nice (having switched out as soon as we got there for a room with a double bed rather than two twins), with a private balcony, wardrobe, safe, kettle etc. for hot drink in the room, a desk and a well-equipped bathroom with drencher-shower. Unfortunately the shower did leak a little onto the bathroom floor. The first night it was a flood but they immediately fixed it - to a point. It still leaked a little throughout our stay. The staff are all great, from the reception staff, through housekeeping to the night porter who allowed us to use the dining facilities out of hours due to an early-morning pickup to take us back to Verona airport. Special mention needs to be made to Marian and the entire dining room staff who looked after us for breakfast and dinner. They were all very friendly and helpful. I was particularly taken with young Karim - very softly-spoken, pleasant and working so hard. One thing that occurred to me during our week’s stay at the Sky Pool: Although the large dining room is pleasantly bright for breakfast, it is perhaps a little too bright for dinner. The walls and ceiling are all painted white which is perfect for the morning, but a bit glaring at night. May I respectfully suggest overhead lights that can be dimmed a little bit and, perhaps, some subtle table-lighting? I just thought something like that would provide a more intimate atmosphere for evening meals. I would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Garda. The evening meals are rotated every 2 weeks, so there would be a fortnight’s variety if you were to choose the half-board option - which I would also very much recommend, most of the meals being both tasty and reasonably-priced. And, of course, served to you by the exemplary staff!

The hotel is comfortable and clean, with modern decor. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The food was good, although the evening choice was limited if you do not like fish! While we had a balcony, the view was a lane and blank wall. The sky pool on the roof was excellent and the view was great. The hotel is located close to the centre of Garda, so convenient for the bus station and ferry landing.
