We booked a suite for our 50th Wedding Anniversary and the Receptionist at the hotel upgraded us to the ‘Royal Suite’. The bedroom had a King size bed and a Jacuzzi bath at one end. The bathroom had a large shower with large shower and waterfall heads. It was also a Turkish Bath. All the staff are brilliant, the food in the morning was, by the time we ate at 9am, not very hot but acceptable and plenty of choice. Could have done with more fresh fruit rather than tinned. Even the bar staff working in the bar pool were very pleasant, rare in some hotels and I would like to thank the Receptionist/Management for the upgrade to the Royal Suite and the bottle of Bubbly. The only problem we had, if it is a problem, was that the temperature varied between 33-40C except the last when it was raining but we were leaving at 08:00hrs. Didn’t see a cloud cloud until then. I had broken seven vertebrae in my spine last August, spent some time in hospital and cannot have Physiotherapy as they were compression fractures and I found the 30min walk to the lake difficult, especially in the heat. Fifteen Minutes if you are of average fitness. There are many bars and restaurants along the lake and a large Ferris Wheel, which we went on. Also the ferry point is almost next to the wheel along with motor boats you can hire. The town has lots of Cafes, restaurants and tourists shops etc.

We stayed in a three room apartment. Overall we had an excellent stay and I would highly recommend the hotel. Starting with the bad - the apartments were nice although if I were critical I would say 1. TV was quite small and very few uk channels (it had BBC news and another couple of news channels). It was definitely geared towards German tourists (clue is in the hotel title!) - they seemed to have tons of channels. 2. Possibly it is due for some update in rooms - soft furnishings and kitchen hob looked worn. Needs a better toaster. 3. The sofa was not great, which was also sofa bed so not comfortable and a bit old. But these are really minor criticisms. For awareness there was a twin room downstairs and double bed upstairs. The lounge and basic kitchen was also upstairs. Both the twin and double bedrooms had en-suite facilities. The view and standard of hotel are really excellent. The views from the upstairs lounge rooms was outstanding. It was also very quiet in the rooms. The hotels is about 10 mins walk from Bardolino centre. There is a bit of a slope walking down which might be difficult for some. We didn’t find that an issue but if you have mobility issues that might be something to consider. Pools were nice. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Some minor annoyances like charging 3 euros for pool towels and each time you change them. I think this is a bit excessive for each change. We thought would be better to charge 20 euros extra for the room and then provide free towels given high standard of hotel! We ate at the restaurant one evening and it was really nice and one of best meals we had. It’s very nicely decorated and food was great. Loads of choice too (wide menu on an iPad). Gym was basic (a bit poor if I am honest) and could be so much better. It was better than nothing I guess but only just. The indoor pool is great and warm. They do say swim hats needed for the indoor pool and most people we saw did adhere to this. The kitchen in the room was functional but I would not have wanted to cook a meal there. But ok to prepare basic breakfast etc Nearest supermarket was 15 mins walk so really you need taxi to get back which cost 10 euros. There was threat of 35 euro charge if extraordinary cleaning needed which mean carrying rubbish out. I appreciate deposit fair enough but just something to be aware of. Anyway it is definitely top notch hotel and like I said any criticisms are really minor and the good far outweighs the bad (and Bardolino is excellent too!).

“A great hotel with the best views!”

The hotel is great - the rooms are very neat and cool. The hotel grounds are well kept and clean. The staff are friendly and polite and help you very quickly when asked. The pool is very good for young kids and adults with lots of sun lounges spaced out well around pool.

“Location location ”

A beautiful spot in an excellent location. Few minutes stroll into Bardolino centre. Beautiful views of the lake from the hotel. The staff are so helpful big shout to Giulia. Only criticism is the room needs a it updating very plain poor decor and bedding looked shabby saying that it was all.very... more
