We chose to spend three days in Florence and we decide to stay in Villa Tolomei because we wanted to be in Florence but not directly in the city center. A pleasant 20-minute walk brings you to the heart of the city, or the hotel offers an excellent shuttle service for guests. The hotel is stunning, with beautiful, spacious, impeccably clean rooms equipped with all the comforts you would expect from a five-star property. The breakfast is fantastic, delicious and made with high-quality products. The restaurant is a true gem, offering a wonderful dining experience. The staff are professional and friendly, meeting our every need in excellent way. Not to mention, for a city like Florence, the free parking is a great advantage. I’d say it’s the perfect hotel for anyone looking to spend a few days in Florence.

“Worth every penny”
I stayed in July for 3 days. The property is amazing. We enjoyed the pool area with stunning views. Breakfast was unreal! I stuffed myself daily. The rooms were huge and beautiful and very clean. I loved our outdoor area as well. I cannot wait to stay again.

We arrived at this beautiful resort located on the hills of Florence, just 12 minutes via taxi from the city center, and we were welcomed by an elegant and quintessentially Tuscan atmosphere. The resort is set in a Renaissance Toscan villa with large rooms, high ceilings, and beautiful grounds. Fireplaces were lit, and Christmas lights and trees were displayed all over the resort. We were welcomed by very professional and friendly staff. The rooms were huge, and the views were breathtaking. We had a quick bite to eat (so we thought) in the beautiful restaurant, and we tasted their specialties; the resort has an olive garden and a vineyard, so they produce their own olives, olive oil, and red wine. We tasted delicious local prosciutto and salame, along with tasty cheeses and local delicatessen. We then went back to Florence in the evening and returned for the night. In the morning, we woke up, and the views from the windows were just incredible. Silence, piece, and beauty. Breakfast was great. The girls working in the breakfast room were just lovely and professional. The resort has a gym, a spa, and a swimming pool with panoramic views over Florence, open to those traveling in the summer. There is also a beautiful walk which would take you down hills into Florence. I highly recommend this resort for every season, wether you dream of Tuscan hills or want want to enjoy Florence, this is it! Thank you for the amazing stay!

“Feel like royalty in the Villa with terrific views and great service!”

We arrived late on Sunday after driving from Venice. They called the kitchen to stay open for us to eat dinner. The rooms looked exactly like the pictures. Sometimes the rooms on the internet are not a accurate representation of the actual room. However, the rooms were spacious and bright. We went in May so it was not that hot so the lack of air conditioning did not bother me too much. I packed a travel fan. The villa also has a fantastic postcard view of Florence form the windows, the garden, and the dining room. Getting up the hill in a larger vehicle can be challenging, so I would recommend hiring a driver or taxi. Again, I would recommend this villa.
