The butler service of St. Regis was excellent!! They gave me tips on restaurant recommendations, where to shop, and fast service. It was great that with their butler service, I could reach them by WhatsApp, and they responded quickly and was super helpful! The breakfast is at their beautiful restaurant. Excellent services from all of their staff. I’ve travelled all around the world and I’m a titanium Marriott member, this is one of the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Everything was so great and I start to miss it and can’t wait to come back to Florence already.

Facing sister hotel the Westin Excelsior across wide, pedestrianised Piazza Ognissanti, the St. Regis Florence lies on the north bank of the Arno, a short 10-minute walk west of the Ponte Vecchio. Sufficiently removed from the worst of the crowds and yet within easy reach the main shopping district and many of the major sights, the hotel enjoys the best of both worlds, and the wide sweep of the river from the front rooms gives a real feeling of space. The 99 rooms and suites have bells and whistles galore, and here too, there is a savvy mix of old and new. Around half have Arno views for which it is well worth spending a little bit more. The opulent Florentine Renaissance-meets-contemporary design aesthetic works beautifully. There are marble hallways, coffered frescoed ceilings, a mix of antique and custom-made furnishings, vast gilt mirrors and magnificent Murano glass chandeliers, but don’t expect it to be at all stuffy; there is a cool, hip edge to the place and a jazzy soundtrack sets the scene as soon as you walk through the revolving door. We very much enjoyed our four night Family friendly stay here in a suite. Service incl. butler service is as professional, friendly and attentive as you would expect from the brand, yet staff are also amiable and discreet, a difficult-to-achieve balance. Guests are immediately put at ease with check-in formalities carried out at a table with arm chairs in the welcoming lobby-cum-library rather than at the usual formal reception desk. There is a dedicated concierge team for the usual reservations, transportation tasks and local advice. There is a smaller fitness room on the first floor for working off excess pasta pounds and an Iridium Spa in partnership with MyBlend, present unique, bespoke treatments and in-depth therapies. Overall a fantastic stay! La ringrazio molto.

We had a wonderful stay at the St Regis in Florence! The location is a short walk to all the major attractions and the train station (4 blocks). This is a beautiful hotel and the staff is outstanding. They are "famous" for their butler service and I can see why. The will take care of anything you need. I couldn't find an iron in our room, and my wife pointed out that they will press two garments for you each day. Just like that I had two crisply pressed shirts! They also helped book our train ride south. Finally special mention to the staff in the bar, they were all so accommodating, especially the young waiter Marco. We already miss the St Regis!

This St Regis property’s grandeur is magnificent. The inside is beautiful. Upon your arrival, you are immediately greeted by a doorman and your luggage quickly whisked away. You are then escorted to a person sitting at a desk, who takes all your information. This person then takes you to your room and briefly explains the services available. I am sure that the hotel means well with this service but, personally, we felt a little intimidated as opposed to feeling like a special guest. The room itself is small in size with little space for luggage storage. The bathroom is beautiful. It does, however, take a little while to work out the bedroom lights, something our greeter failed to demonstrate to us. We are Gold Bonvoy members so we were disappointed that we were not given a room facing the river. The room on the side street endures the noise from wedding functions on the ground floor and from morning garbage pickup. Staff are friendly, speak English and generally helpful. The one negative is that the St Regis is a very expensive hotel and they carry this philosophy through to their pricing of all items. For example, do they really need to charge €10 for a bottle of water in the dining room while declining to serve tap water (which is potable)? We ate in the restaurant one night and the food, while tasty, came lukewarm at best and was cold long before we had finished. No offer of a discount or complimentary dessert was made, despite our mentioning to our waiter our disappointment. In short, we loved our stay at the St Regis but feel that we did not get value for money.
