The magnificent city of Florence is just waiting to be discovered by those who have not yet seen it first hand. One of Italy’s top destinations, on arrival in this beautiful and majestic town, its easy to understand how she has been the inspiration for many of the most influential figures in history. Dubbed ‘the cradle of the renaissance’, this town, which was first founded by the Etruscan settlers in around the 7th century BCE, had its era of glory in the medieval-renaissance years from the 13th to 18th centuries, and even had a brief stint as the capital of the newly reformed Italian Republic in the 19th century before power was transferred to Rome..This large and luxurious Florentine residence offers the refinement and elegance that defines the city in the form of short term holiday hotel accommodation. For business or pleasure, tourism or leisure, the Firenze Hotel Majestic will be all you are looking for. Our long standing reputation in the cradle of the renaissance speaks for itself, while our competitive rates set us apart from other 4 star luxury hotels in the magnificent city of Florence.Located just on the outskirts of the old Florentine Republic, the Hotel Majestic offers great convenience to business clients and tourists alike. Just 200m from the city train station, Santa Maria Novella, the Fortezza da Basso Exhibition Centre and a quick 5 mile jaunt from the airport, access in and out of the city and into the surrounding region of Tuscany could not be easier. In addition, we’re a comfortable 5-minute stroll from the heart of the historical centre, where you’ll find the imposing Duomo – the heart of the city; the Palazzo Vecchio – the political seat of power; and a host of other must-see landmarks.
Our pride and joy is our in house restaurant, Michelangelo’s, which offers an exciting menu of dishes from around the country, utilising the finest fresh ingredients grown locally in the region of Tuscany. To complement the gourmet dishes on offer, we keep a fine selection of wines for your perusal – and you’ll know you’ve come to the right part of the world for fine wines if you consult our concierge about a tour of the Chianti region.

My girlfriend and I booked this hotel well before any of these bad reviews were posted and were very concerned about the place. Entirely Without Reason!! We really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely stay there again. The hotel was in good condition, our room was very clean, we used the airconditioning 24/7 (we arrived during the recent heatwave, 35-39 degrees!) and it worked well. The hotel is a very short walk from the railway station and was suprisingly quiet! In fact it was lovely to wake up to the distant toll of church bells. Our room overlooked the lovely roof garden & we could see the roof of the San Lorenzo chapel and the Duomo. The hotel is perfectly placed to visit the plethora of attractions of Florence - everywhere is in very easy walking distance. I must take issue with a few things in previous reviews. The staff were as friendly and helpful as all Italians are. Like all people if you are polite they will respond in kind! Italians are animated and vocal in conversation - this could be why one reviewer believed the hotel staff were arguing outside their room. The staff only worked on the corridors after 8am on vacant rooms. You really should be out of bed by then - go enjoy Florence! The buffet breakfast was excellent. The staff coped well when the place was full. We saw only one homeless person (well behaved too) near the hotel through the week - hardly a problem. Italy is a country of many smokers - there is bound to be one crafty smoker among the hotel staff. Italians cannot smoke in restaurants or bars anymore so this is not a problem. I don't smoke but I think a little more tolerance & appreciation of the fact that you are in a different country with a whole different culture is needed. Relax & enjoy.
