“Nice and calm!”

We had a good experience there! service is excellent, very helpful! Breakfast is very good and tasty! Only pictures on booking website are better than it really is, but it is good enough. I recommend!

“Average hotel, not too bad!”

Me and 5 other guests stayed at this hotel for 5 nights (ended up being 6 due to our flight home being cancelled) in August 2018 while visiting a family member's wedding in Florence. The 3 rooms were spread around the hotel; they weren't together. We booked breakfast for all 3 rooms. - CHECK-IN We landed in Pisa Airport and got the train over to Florence. It only cost around 8 euros for a one-way train journey each. A taxi at the train station's taxi rank cost around 30 euros for a car with luggage! With there being 6 of us, 60 euros just to get to the hotel was ludicrous! Check-in was prompt and we were given our room keys. The hotel had a very budget-vibe, almost like a Travelodge. - ROOMS As mentioned in several other reviews, the rooms aircon is extremely poor. After 10 nights in Thailand with gorgeous, cold aircon, the transition to this hotel made it clear that the aircon worked, but was hardly blowing anything out. This was apparent in all three rooms, which pointed out it couldn't have been just a problem in one room. The beds are comfortable. In one of the twin rooms we booked, the wooden frame beneath the mattress extrudes at least one inch around the border of the mattress, allowing for a dangerous bed-frame corner and a nasty bruise on a clumsy guest's leg! There is no safe in the room, which I would have liked but didn't bother me too much. There's a fairly large wardrobe and the bathroom is nicely sized. The bathroom sizes seemed to differ in all three rooms; strange! The shower leaks out of its doors every single time leaving a large pool of water on the bathroom floor. The room was very clean. Beware of the sockets; our EU to UK travel adaptors, although working in Thailand's sockets, did not fit into these sockets because the adaptors' prongs were too wide. Make sure you have small(er) adaptors if this would become a problem! Luckily, one of ours worked. The TV did not work in one of the rooms. - HOTEL AMENITIES The hotel has a pool with a few sunbeds around it. There's not many and space around the pool is limited. It's just a wooden surround and then hard grass with sunbeds on it. The pool had some sort of plastic filters on the bottom of it which were nailed in, but on one of them, the nails extruded. It gave the same clumsy guest a cut on their toes! We avoided that section of the pool (which was hard because it was a small pool). The jets on the pool ran every day we were there. There is a garden area in the middle of the hotel with chairs and tables. It made a nice area to have a drink on an evening before bed. There is a lift to get to the second floor. - BREAKFAST Breakfast was surprisingly nice. The breakfast hall was spacious and there were quite a few options available: toast, cereal, cheese, ham, yoghurts, croissants etc. It's worth getting the breakfast in my opinion. - FOOD AND DRINK The hotel has its own restaurant. The menu was only in Italian so with the work of google translate we figured it out. It didn't appeal to us at all, as it was expensive and only had items like dumplings and prawns. In spite of this, we found a lovely pizza takeaway around the corner, only a few minutes walk. The prices are reasonable and it's very nice! We ordered pizza there and enjoyed it. There's a little bakery nearby and a corner shop but we couldn't find any restaurants nearby! - THINGS TO DO There's very little to do around this hotel. It's not in the centre of Florence and getting there would cost us £50 for a taxi so we used what we could. We got some information from the reception about a bus that goes into the centre. The stop is a few minutes walk from the hotel and is called 'Sorgane'. One of the buses takes you right to the train station, fantastic! *THE BUS STOP AT THE TRAIN STATION IS NOT THE STOP THAT WILL TAKE YOU BACK TO THE HOTEL*. The stop that has a bus taking you back to the hotel is a 5-10 walk from the train station and is a different bus. We took a bus tour around the centre of Florence. We ate in the centre once when we arrived and the prices were extortionate, it was ridiculous! Overall, I would class our stay as average. The hotel would pass as an Italian Travelodge and was worth what we paid. Be aware of the fact you will be a £50 taxi away from the centre!
