I think that based on the variability of the posted reviews, the experience is likely highly dependent on which room the visitor receives. I was in the attic loft, room 111, and could not have been happier. A spacious, modern room, the air conditioning was excellent (which was very important given this year's heat waves). Very quiet. No fridge, but that wasn't a big deal. Checking in was a bit goofy. I arrived at noon and the front door was locked and no one was at the front desk. I managed to get in and was confronted by a cleaning lady who chastised me for coming before check-in time. I indicated that I did not care to check in and was happy to dump my bags and head out to Florence. All good. But someone with different expectations would be miffed. Breakfast is modest but perfectly adequate...much better than what one gets at a budget motel in the States. Again, expectations. If you expect a large, hot breakfast buffet, you need to check into a much more expensive property.

“Friendly staff, clean bathroom :)”
The hotel is by no means upscale accommodation, but the room and the bathroom were clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Moreover, it's in a quiet neighbourhood. Overall, it was good value for money.

The staff couldn't do enough to help me. They have a smattering of English but hey you're in Italy! they are very supportive and accommodating. Hotel is basic but lovely, beautiful garden. Word of warning there's no lift ... so be prepared if you are on the top floor! Having said that I was helped … more
The staff couldn't do enough to help me. They have a smattering of English but hey you're in Italy! they are very supportive and accommodating. Hotel is basic but lovely, beautiful garden. Word of warning there's no lift ... so be prepared if you are on the top floor! Having said that I was helped up with my luggage at check-in :) It's closer to a 30-minute walk in the heat and if like me a little tubby! but an easy walk to all the main attractions and even some that aren't on the main tourist trail. Well worth a visit!

This hotel is basic but fine. It is located just outside the center but it's still close by. It's a 20 minute walk. We rented a car and you can park your car close to the hotel for free. There is no fridge in the room which is unfortunate. There is also no corkscrew. So bring one by yourself because the wine is Florence is very, very good! The staff were willing to help but their English is not very good. The breakfast is very basic. We do recommend this hotel.
