“fantastic hotel and great staff”
wow , fantastic staff . great location and the room was lovely. we had a sauna in the room but did not use as the weather was hot enough. the pool and hot tub were a welcome respite from the heat. the whole trip was a surprise for me, so staying in a hotel so close the everything was brilliant. b… more

We had a wonderful stay here for my wife's 60th birthday. All the rooms are different in furnishings & very niche. The breakfast was so much more than we expected, with a selection of hot & cold foods. The pancake maker machine was a winner & every hotel should have one!!!! One morning we had to leave early for a trip & the hotel had laid on a selection of breakfast foods to take with us on our trip. The hotel is perfectly situated for all the main attractions, most being just a short walk away. I would certainly use this hotel again & would recommend it to anyone else

I've just arrived back from a short, three night, stay at Hotel Gironi Al Duomo and wanted to express my thanks to the lovely staff. It's a small hotel twenty three room, boutique, hotel and very well situated for all that central Florence has to offer. The hotel itself has a modest exterior but it belies the size of the premises which, whilst still compact, are perfect for a short stay. The building is old but you wouldn't guess it is 16th century old and you can see that it's been treated, and maintained with love and affection. Most of the guests seemed to be from the States/Canada but there were a few Brits and everyone got along just fine. There's a small pool/jacuzzi area and that was really welcome as the heat topped 38c on the weekend that the Tour de France was in town. I was particularly impressed with the hotel staff. On every level you could tell that they took a pride in their jobs, the hotel, and their lovely city of Florence.

“Small, but good place”
The room was small (think inside cabin on cruise ship), but the hotel is well located and not loud at all at night. Breakfast was included and had many options. Front desk staff was always very friendly. AC worked well, which was good as the afternoons got warm.

The hotel is in a great location. For our first two nights, they put us a very small room — 15 sq m — with a small bed and it wasn’t comfortable for a couple. For our third and final night, they gave us a decent room. Breakfast is not included. Pool and hot tub were closed. There is a wine cellar … more
The hotel is in a great location. For our first two nights, they put us a very small room — 15 sq m — with a small bed and it wasn’t comfortable for a couple. For our third and final night, they gave us a decent room. Breakfast is not included. Pool and hot tub were closed. There is a wine cellar that is interesting, but they say the dusty bottles are from the 1700s/1800s, while one could see that they’re from the 1960s/70s. That tells me something.
