We recently stayed at Hotel Centrale for one night, and overall, it was a fantastic experience with just a few minor hiccups. The reception staff were absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, they were welcoming, friendly, and eager to assist with any questions or requests and even upgraded us and allowed us to check-in early. They relayed the history of the hotel from when it was a palace and then a hotel in the 1900s. Their service really set the tone for a comfortable stay and made us feel very well taken care of. The room itself was amazing—spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with a charming blend of modern amenities and traditional Florentine touches. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and after a long day of exploring the city, it was exactly what we needed. The view from the window was lovely too, adding a special touch to the overall ambiance. However, there was one downside at that was breakfast. While the spread was decent, the breakfast area felt chaotic. It seemed understaffed, and the layout was a bit cramped, making it difficult to navigate around other guests. There was also some confusion with replenishing items, leading to delays in getting basic things like meats, cheeses and fresh pastries. It felt like the experience didn’t match the high standard set by the rest of the hotel. Despite the somewhat disorganised breakfast, our stay at Hotel Centrale was still wonderful thanks to the outstanding staff, its very central location and the superb room. We would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for short stays—just be prepared for a bit of a busy breakfast scene.

Very kind staff, even dough the hotel is ancient I was delighted about the cleanness of everything, really clean towels and sheets. Very kind staff, even dough the hotel is ancient I was delighted about the cleanness of everything, really clean towels and sheets. The location is perfect, you can easily walk from main station Santa Maria to the hotel. The only thing that I did not like was the parking, due the amazing central location we had to pay 38€ per day, this includes the parking with a valet + ZTL registration, that you must to have if you’re renting a car. Overall I really recommend.
