“A very good hotel in Firence”

A good hotel in the center of the old historic center of Florence.Service is good can be improved.Rooms are very good.Breakfast is good but can be improved.Price compare to all the above is fair and this hotel is a very good alternative for you when you will visit the town.

Very central hotel and super convenient. Most attractions within easy reach. Friendly helpful staff. Rooms are a little small and a little basic but it was fine. You don’t spend a lot of time in a hotel in Florence ! A / C was good. The room was secure and we were comfortable and Yes , we would return. We were driving our own car and the hotel has a space to park literally outside the door to un load. Very useful. Same on departure. Parking was separate and minutes walk away. small Fiat car , 2 days, €64 which was ok. Parking can be €8 an hour short term !!!

4 night City break stay. Didn’t read reviews till after. Surprised as had a fab stay here. Central location,not far from train and tram stop. Easy walking to Basillicas,Duermo,Palazzo Vecchio and the river. Stayed in a quirky classic room,comfy bed, clean , faded grandeur. Shower a squeeze but charming. Air con could be better but lots,of places limit now for eco reasons. Staff at reception and breakfast, friendly,kind and helpful. Printed some docs for us and sent a fan up as we asked. No problem. Our room faced inner courtyard so nice and quiet. Street rooms will be noisy as leather market in street. Breakfast good choice of continental meats,cheeses and hot eggs bacon. Plenty of fruit cereals,pastries and Italian torte etc. coffee machine but good. Do prepare for mosquitos,keep lights off at night if windows open.Florence does sit on a river. . Reception is grand and smells amazing ,all in keeping with age and history

Stayed here for two nights, hotel is in a good position close to shops and restaurants etc. staff were friendly but I don’t think you could call this a 4 star hotel decor very tired and no fridge or kettle in room,room was adequate. We had a room on the second floor but wasn’t on the second floor you had to negotiate steps to get to room very odd if you have mobility issues. Ok for a few nights

“Cheap and cheerful”

A very unusual experience from start to finish. The "interesting" bald man at check in stared into my soul and then tried to make conversation by saying we cannot travel through Europe without passports but "this is okay for Atlantic Palace". A very unusual experience from start to finish. The "interesting" bald man at check in stared into my soul and then tried to make conversation by saying we cannot travel through Europe without passports but "this is okay for Atlantic Palace". I still have no idea. Our friend escorted us in silence to the elevator that sounded like an Airbus A380 taking off. "This is okay, we have this sound" he reassured us. After our silent journey upstairs and numerous "you're welcome"s, we found a strange smell in the hallway of drainage. Thankfully this wasn't in the actual room. The room was clean and tidy, just a little too dated and didn't blow us away. We also phoned for room service coffee in the morning which was not delivered, so we phoned again and a woman who looked like the cleaner appeared with a Julius Meindl full setup in hand, very apologetic. I would recommend this hotel if you get a good deal, as it's certainly cheap and cheerful.
