“Great place to stay in Florence!”
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Albani Firenze in Florence. The hotel was a quick walk from the train station and easy to navigate with luggage. It was also an easy walk to our tour meeting points. We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Albani Firenze in Florence. The hotel was a quick walk from the train station and easy to navigate with luggage. It was also an easy walk to our tour meeting points. The check in was very accommodating with a bell hop who helped us with our luggage to our room. Our room was ready when we arrived at noon. The free breakfast was great quality! Eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, and much more. The hotel room was very spacious compared to the other hotels we stayed in Italy. One thing we learned is that although a hotel states it has air conditioning, it is not turned on until later in the spring. So, you will need to open a window. The street noise was very loud with the window open, but very quiet with it closed.

“Great Stay in Florence”
My daughter and I have just returned from a 4 day break n Florence and we stayed in the Hotel Albani. The hotel is one of the best I have stayed in, first class staff, excellent room, great breakfast. My daughter and I have just returned from a 4 day break n Florence and we stayed in the Hotel Albani. The hotel is one of the best I have stayed in, first class staff, excellent room, great breakfast. One tiny issue is the lack of charging points (USB) for phones etc and the lack of English language TV channels. These were very minor issues. Beautiful room and really comfy bed. I hope to return to Florence again one day and will definitely choose the Hotel Albani.

“Comfortable, Faded Elegance”

There are plenty of good things to say about this hotel: 1) It is literally 3minutes walk from Valfonda Tram Stop (hop off tram, turn left, turn right at Piazza Adua and sharp right into via Fiume. The hotel is on your left a few metres along) (BTW: Tram from Peretola Airport to Valfonda took 25mins and cost 1.70 euros. Ticket machine at airport easy to navigate.) 2) The breakfasts are superb. You can have scrambled egg, bacon, sausage, toast, fresh fruit, salad, cereals and lots of different cakes and pastries. The coffee is real, not from a hideous machine. The ladies running the breakfast room are charming, efficient and very helpful. 3) The staff at the front desk were cordial and helpful on check-in and check-out. I had no problems whatsoever with the WiFi. Worked perfectly. I had one or two very minor problems which they helped with immediately and perfectly. 4) I would characterise the hotel as 'shabby chic'. The decor in my room could definitely do with an upgrade. My room door opened outwards which was odd and the lock didn't feel terribly secure. (There is an efficient and easy to use safe in the room.) 5) The bathroom was excellent and I had a bath tub (unusual in Italy in basic single rooms). Lots of toiletries on offer, plus slippers, gown etc. 6) The front of the hotel is covered in scaffolding and plastic sheeting (Jan 2025), which arguably does not give the best first impression, but it's clear they recognise that an upgrade is needed. 7) It's super easy to walk to anywhere in town 8) My room had a little Juliet balcony and I have t say that although via Fiume is quite an important road it was not noisy at night. And I slept with the balcony door open. Overall I would definitely stay here again. I think the extra money is worth it.

Rooms and services are as you'd expect for a 4 star restaurant. One real issue is no real bar or restaurant, just breakfast really but so many bars and restaurants within a few blocks that we didn't miss one

We enjoyed our stay here and the staff were very quick to respond and resolve a couple of very small problems that we had…new batteries were required and we were having trouble with our power adapter. The room was very clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the hotel is only a block away from the train station. Lots of nearby restaurants, shops, taxi’s and other services.
