We stayed at the Eden Rock Resort for four nights. We stayed in room 207 which was a spacious panoramic suite with stunning views and a large balcony. All of the staff were extremely friendly and bent over backwards to ensure that our stay was perfect. Due to there only been 12 rooms there was a lovely ‘home from home’ feel and areas including the pool were never crowded. The evening restaurant menu wasn’t extensive and didn’t have a lot of choice for the children but they were happy with pasta and staff did say if the children wanted something in particular then they would do their best to make it. We picked this resort due to the pool and to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and I’m so glad that we did. The only downside was that due to the heat and roadworks we decided to get a taxi rather than the bus to and from the centre of Florence and this was pricey.

“Brilliant Florence stay!”

My family and I had 3 nights here and would absolutely recommend! We’d go back without hesitation. All the Staff were brilliant throughout our stay, from the check in at reception, the bar staff, cleaners, everyone, some of the nicest people we met during our trip in Italy!! The room was fantastic. They’re were four of us, 2 separate bedrooms, kitchen area, separate bathroom. Room was fantastic!! The setting was amazing in the hills above the city giving a brilliant view from our room and the pool area. However with these brilliant views the only slight downside is that to get into the city it is a taxi or bus ride away. During our stay some roadworks complicated the bus route so we only managed it by taxi, which was typically €25 each way. But it’s worth it for the location! Restaurant was brilliant as well, we ate here 2 nights, not a massive selection and no kids options but ours were fine with various pastas etc. Small bar area near the pool is ideal. The pool itself is perfect for the size of hotel, which only has 12 rooms so it’s never too busy. Pool area is brilliant for relaxing after exploring Florence during the morning or before going into the city on an evening. Can’t speak highly enough of this place, one of the best stays we’ve had! Can’t wait to go back one day!

“Amazing views and pool”

A very clean hotel and fabulously maintained suite. Felt it had a 1980s vibe. Sarah on reception really friendly and helpful as were all staff. Distance to the city is 15-25 minutes by car. Taxis varied in price from €26-€40 avoiding the roadworks. Pool is truly wonderful after a very hot day wande… more

A very clean hotel and fabulously maintained suite. Felt it had a 1980s vibe. Sarah on reception really friendly and helpful as were all staff. Distance to the city is 15-25 minutes by car. Taxis varied in price from €26-€40 avoiding the roadworks. Pool is truly wonderful after a very hot day wandering around Florence. Breakfast choice was excellent but the quality we felt could be improved upon. The hotel has absolutely amazing and unrivalled views of the city. Well worth a visit.

“Particularly good for a short stay, pretty hotel”

Hotel is very pretty set in the Tuscan hills so view from our room was absolutely stunning. The hotel is very clean, rooms are air conditioned which is needed for sure , although showers were cold constantly, didn't mention it to staff as we were there in August in 35 degrees so felt it was silly… more

Hotel is very pretty set in the Tuscan hills so view from our room was absolutely stunning. The hotel is very clean, rooms are air conditioned which is needed for sure , although showers were cold constantly, didn't mention it to staff as we were there in August in 35 degrees so felt it was silly to mention really. Also , not checking rooms and just going for the cheapest meant we were situated at the top of the hotel which meant no outdoor space which was a bit of a disappointment to me so check that when booking . Breakfast was a mix of continental meats, cheeses, rolls, croissants, cereals, fruit, yogurts but also a variety of cakes and tarts and even quiche ! Latter items not my taste for breakfast but might appeal to some at least there was a lot of choice. The hotel menu was small but the food was good and the service, the staff seem to be able to deal with all requests whatever language. The main down side for us was that as we didn't hire a car we were limited on choices as walking far wasn't an option in August also on a busy road and we did walk to post office where there is also a café and bar but that was a hilly sweaty walk so not ideal. Meant we ate at hotel most nights which was fine but would have liked other options and some little nearby cafes and shop would have been welcome this was a little isolated in that respect. However, there is a shuttle bus service which is regular you have to book tickets in advance they are cheap and you can bus hop if needed for an hour and a half on same ticket. Taxis on the other hand are not at all cheap. Hotel is near enough to Florence to bus it in and of course you have to visit Florence if in Tuscany.
