“Great location, welcoming staff.”

Generally the hotel was good, we found it mostly clean, the staff were helpful and polite and the breakfast was good in range. Breakfast was varied, had fruits, yogurts, bread and cakes, cereals, pastries and cooked items. As vegetarians we were happy with the selection but the only hot option for us was eggs, toast and peas or broccoli (which felt very random). The pastries were absolutely delicious however and it felt like there was something that suited everyone. The room was clean and spacious and we even had a balcony; the room was mostly clean and there were plenty of basic amenities including a vanity set, moisturizer, soaps and tea/coffee. The bed was firm, but large and comfortable. The only issue we had with the shower is that it was at the same level as the floor and often flooded. The shower was not the cleanest (the rest of the room/bathroom was spotless) and when I pulled out the drain cover it was completely black inside, this was at 10pm on our last evening so I didn't contact staff as I just wanted to sleep. It is just in need of a shower deep clean, or more attention to the shower which I understand can be hard when turning rooms around so quickly. I hardly slept on the first night, but this is NOT the hotels fault. The hotel is positioned opposite the main train station and the main thing that kept me up was this suspicious banging. After a day we soon realised that the banging was coming from a drain on the road outside of the hotel, when a car drove over it it made a loud bang which seemed to permeate through the walls. The rest of the outside noise seemingly was blocked out and didn't bother us. Another, which is more structural was the person upstairs who was talking on the phone very loudly until 11:30pm, which is completely his right but it felt like he was in the room with us. The walls and doors are thin so any noises, moving chairs or people walking the corridors could be heard. That being said the hotel did offer me to change rooms, but I didn't want the hassle, I soon got used to the sound and slept soundly after that. Every member we spoke to was kind, polite and welcoming. The hotel is in a great location and 15 minutes away from the duomo, which was great for our early morning walks. I would stay here again but would want to be on the inside of the building inside of facing the street.

“Not the best”

Very basic hotel. Shower is in the bath and no cover around so the water went everywhere. Also the water wasn’t very warm. The room is also very basic and with old furniture which need replaced. A/C wasn’t great so the room was warm. Room is clean and the breakfast is ok. Probably would go somewher… more
