When we arrived on November 4th Bianca, was very helpful and explained the services offered at the hotel. We had drinks at the bar and Giorgio and Luigi were awesome. They were very helpful during our dinner selection the 2nd night as will. I had my cousin with me, and he had a problem with his room overnight. I was not aware till the next morning. So Sarbina and her coworker who helped moved the bags got him moved to another room within an hour. Andres and Hmmar were great. The stay was amazing the entire staff was AWSOME. Great location alto to see and do in this area. Each morning for breakfast Francesca was busy but she is AWSOME in how she takes care of the guest and her duties. The rooms were very clean.

“Very good but not great”

Overall was a good experience but a few things took one star out of my review. We stayed at all Hiltons during our trip to Italy. Overall was a good experience but a few things took one star out of my review. We stayed at all Hiltons during our trip to Italy. The hotel is a beautiful older building and the rooms were surprisingly a bit larger than some of the other places we stayed at. The location is not in the touristy part but rather a 20min or so walk along the river which was nice but if you have along day, can be very tiring. The housekeeping was excellent. We did leave notes (plus tip) every day for extra items, written in both English and Italian but never got the items. We had a power issue in the room which knocked out the AC for one day until they could fix it the next day. There was also a midnight fire alarm situation that was due to a an electrical gremlin they said. The breakfast was great but the dining room was too small for the hotel and so alot of crowding around the items and they had to replace things over and over since there was no room to put alot from the get go. Finally they nickel timed us for crackers and bisuits in the room which we did not know they were extra ie nothing was written on them. That was a big meh for us since the room cost was over 500 a night. Overall was a good experience but enough dings to consider somewhere else next time. As for Florence itself: Uber does not work as it does in the US except for Uber black and Van. We took a train from Venice and found Uber VAN to be useful. None of the taxi APPS I downloaded worked and all were glitchy. So we had to resort to the hotel front desk to call one for us or use the old fashioned flagging to get a cab.
