I specifically chose this Hotel because it was very close to the ferry station S. Maria del Giglio so we were not having to carry our luggage over a long distance. Imagine my disappointment when arriving in Venice by train that due to government elections happening that weekend the Vaporetto was not going to be running at that ferry stop for 3 days. We would have to catch the Vaporetto to the closest ferry station and walk. Meaning I had to fork out for a water taxi to take us to the station, not happy but what a spectacular way to arrive. Whilst elections are out of the control of the hotel I did think they could have sent an email to warn us. The Hotel is really nice. The room was big with a comfy bed (which has a mirror on the ceiling - which was interesting) as well as a single divan type bed. Huge bathroom with no bidet - yeh common sense, amazing how much room you have in a bathroom without a bidet. Lots of storage and coffee/tea making facilities. We had two windows overlooking a small canal. One afternoon we heard someone singing. We opened the windows to the canal and saw a Gondola go by with the gondolier singing and right behind them was another gondola with a man playing a guitar for the gondolier to sing to. Simply magic and we would never had seen it if we didn’t have this lovely room. They have a rooftop terrace which is being renovated so closed. Breakfast is on ground floor over 2 rooms with lovely views of the canal. Breakfast had scrambled eggs, bacon, cakes, pastries, pancakes, fruits, meats, cheeses etc. it’s a good breakfast and they can make you a cappuccino. Reception staff were fantastic. There were plenty of staff around and they were always ready to assist you. Please note there is no lift so you have to climb stairs to your rooms. The location is superb. Very close to San Marco Piazza without all the traffic and noise as well as being close to the Accademia bridge. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel and would choose to stay there again next time I’m in Venice.

First time visit to Venice,birthday treat so worth the private speedboat transfers! Hotel located well for the main tourist attractions. Hotel staff were efficient. Rooms rather dated,the economy double wasn't great,very limited room for manoeuvre and should really be a single room. Facilities within the rooms were fine,good shower, reasonable storage space. We weren't aware of mosquitoes at the time if year we went so couldn't open the windows at night for air so was quite stifling. Air con wasn't active until 1st May. Its a very quiet hotel,given the lively location. Breakfast excellent,plenty of choice and good quality. Great city,expensive,as expected,got lost a few times! That's part of the fun!

“A very convenient place to stay in Venice.”

This hotel was ideally located a short walk from the Vaporetto down an alley so very convenient coming from the airport or train station. The rooms was very small and no natural light so felt a bit cramped, but it is Venice. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff was very helpful with any questions we had navigating the city and helped us find an additional charger we need. I would only suggest they provide thicker towels as they were paper thin.

Perfectly situated within ten minutes walk of St Marks Square and five minutes from the Vaporetti stop to the airport. On arrival, we were welcomed and the check in was very quick and efficient with our luggage carried to our room (112) which had a view of the square. Our room was small but adequate for our needs with a safe at a good height, tea/coffee making facilites, though the tea was not replaced with breakfast tea during our stay. The bathroom was fine and everywhere was very clean. The breakfast was continental style with a good choice. The hotel staff were all very helpful and knowledgeable so could not be faulted. We would definitely stay here again,
