Not sure what to expect, as our first time in Venice. Taken straight to the jetty by our private transfer (recommended), drinks on the jetty whilst our room was prepared. Clean and tidy room with a window looking out to the Grand Canal. Breakfast was plentiful and service efficient. Can be noisy in the morning as things are delivered via the jetty, but I don't see that being any different if you face the canal. Two minutes walk to the fish market and gondola crossing point which was €2, saves walking across Rialto Bridge which can get crazy-busy. That is only 10 minutes away. Fairly easy to find our way back if you use your phone app, but soon recognised the landmarks. Lovely setting and great for striking out to see all areas of Venice which I guess to be no more than 25 minutes walk in any direction to the sea.

“Worth the price”

A great place, with good staff. Got the family room for 4 on the 1st floor overlooking the grand canal and it was well worth the price as we spent hours looking out our front window wondering if we need to leave to see Venice as it was all just floating by us. A great place, with good staff. Got the family room for 4 on the 1st floor overlooking the grand canal and it was well worth the price as we spent hours looking out our front window wondering if we need to leave to see Venice as it was all just floating by us. Huge room compared to other EU ‘family’ stays, the bar was adequate and the location was tucked away from the crowds, but close enough to be a 20 minute walk to most locales. Would highly recommend.

“A Delighted slice of Venice!”

Excellent Hotel. It's was our second time visiting Venice and first time at the San Cassiano. Great family accommodation at rear of property over looking courtyard. It would have been lovely to have had view of the canal... but the room was perfect for our needs. Great air conditioning, great ... more

Excellent Hotel. It's was our second time visiting Venice and first time at the San Cassiano. Great family accommodation at rear of property over looking courtyard. It would have been lovely to have had view of the canal... but the room was perfect for our needs. Great air conditioning, great housekeeping and perfectly situated for a short walk into the throng of Venice. We did not eat in the restaurant but elected to eat out instead as all amenities were so very close. Overall a great stay with lovely staff. We must single out Angelo ... who was the most polite, informative and helpful member of staff that we encountered. Angelo was both engaging and extremely professional... a true asset to any hospitality team.

Most unfriendly place with no one available to communicate. Most unfriendly place with no one available to communicate and poor security. We told our daughter to book us a facility near to St. mark’s Square Venice with cooking facility for our grandchildren 12,13,14 and 17. The kitchen was not equipped for cooking. Only one medium sized frying pan and a small saucepan. On our second night we thought we will use the kitchen to prepare our dinner. The kitchen had very few lights. We had to work on one table lamp. As soon as we went to the kitchen I switched on the kettle and the fuse blew. A woman came and put the fuse back. She told us not to use more than one appliance at a time. If this was informed before we would not have booked this accommodation in the first place. No light whatsoever in the kitchen. We cooked with one table lamp. We could not leave the place as we have already paid for 5 nights. children's rooms were on 3rd floor, and we were on 2nd floor. In the instructions given to us about the property there was NO mention of not using more than one appliance in the kitchen. When the kettle was switched on and the oven the fuse blew. ON that Sunday the only was to contact anyone was through WhatsApp!!When someone turned, she accused us of using more than one appliance! the only extra we used was a phone charger. Without any explanation after one hour the lady disappeared. As it was 11.30, we took the children to the nearby restaurant when the owner was kind enough to accommodate us. The bill for 6 of us was 111 Euros. When we complained to management and asked for the refund of 111 Euros they refused to pay the mount. The accommodation was clean, and the breakfast was good. Staff do not know to smile or being friendly. In the kitchen only one frying pan. if you wish to cook more than one item for family think again If anyone with to stay in this property with family and cook think again. Not at all family friendly.
