“Don’t be put off by the reviews”

We are currently staying here as a family of 4, our room has one double bed and 2 ample sized single beds. After reading the reviews, I was a little worried about staying here. We are currently staying here as a family of 4, our room has one double bed and 2 ample sized single beds. After reading the reviews, I was a little worried about staying here. I needn’t have done - our room was cosy and an ample size for 4 of us. The room was clean and the maid came in every day to change towels. The staff and the maids were all so lovely and friendly and could not help us enough. I have seen on reviews that the shower isn’t big enough etc, we found it to be an excellent shower with plenty of space and power and no leaking at all as in other reviews. There is also a safe provided free of charge in your room. The beds are very comfortable and the temperature of the room could be easily controlled with the windows or heating switch. Breakfast - this was great with plenty of choice for a continental serving; croissants, toast, boiled eggs, yoghurt, cereal, meats and cheeses and a good choice of drinks, all easy to access. Yes, the walls are a little thin so you can hear others but this is something I expect when in an older hotel that has character. The reason for my 4/5 score is that I personally did not care for the area that the hotel is located in. But as for the staff and vendors of this hotel I feel that they cannot do enough, they are incredibly helpful and as a family we really have enjoyed our stay here.

“Good bed but tiny room.”

The room was small to the point of ridiculous. You could either umpack your suitcase or you could sleep. Having said that the beds were excellent. Breakfast was very basic and the staff friendly enough. Very dated and not particularly clean but OK by Euro standards although would never go back. Bat… more

Breakfast was very basic and the staff friendly enough. Very dated and not particularly clean but OK by Euro standards although would never go back. Bathroom was standing room only. Or sit.

“Average Hotel Not for Family”

Overall the hotel was average. Pros : The location of the hotel is very convenient which i located in Mestre Center not too far from bus and tram stops. The breakfast was also good. Overall the hotel was average. Pros : The location of the hotel is very convenient which i located in Mestre Center not too far from bus and tram stops. The breakfast was also good. Room was clean and the maids were doing an exceptional job. The reception was helpful with any question. Cons: Rooms were too small and the bathroom was even smaller ( shower was 80 X 55 cm ) and the path to the shower was very narrow. The rooms do not have great soundproof from the corridors or next room, but i did not have any problem. There is no restaurant in the hotel ( they give you vouchers for a close by place) So if you go late at night back prepare some snacks with you. I would say it is good for couple of nights business visit.

....totally over the top decorations in red and gold with a mad use of mirrors, even the wall safe in the room was pink :-) so bonkers it was great. They put signs everywhere :-) Rooms are very small and the bathrooms even smaller so don't bring any cats to swing! if you get a corner room you have the pipes from other rooms running through the walls, it's very noisy - we thought it was raining... on the issue of noise, the walls are very thin so light sleepers beware. The hotel does not have a restaurant or a bar in the evenings so bring your own bottle, they provide ice and a corkscrew ! On the plus side - the hotel is well located in Mestre and the bus/tram into Venice is a short walk away and only 1.5 Euro and 30mins, its better value than staying in Venice itself. Parking is very close if you came by car. Do take the time to explore Mestre though, we found it a lovely place. The breakfast is very good although no hot options, the staff are friendly and attentive. Would I stay there again? Probably not and certainly not for more than the one night.
