This is an absolute gem of a hotel. Beautiful and stylish building with character. Yes, there are stairs up to the hotel reception, but they are wide and straight, with gorgeous red carpet. The reception area is homely, set with tables and chairs. Vito could not have been more informative, understanding and helpful with all our queries regarding our visit to Venice. I had Room 1, yes, it was small but perfectly adequate and beautifully decorated. Large bathroom with charming little window. Delightful treats in the room on arrival, amazing quality bathroom products. I would choose this hotel and this room for my next visit and highly recommend the hotel, the staff and the location. Easily found from San Marco - alley beside Olivetti, over the bridge, along and on the right. Very quiet at night too, ideal for walking the area and eating ice cream from around the corner just before midnight.

“Small and friendly in a great location with a lot of character”

This was our first time in Italy and the first lodging we stayed in for 2 nights. No regrets! We arrived early from our long flight and were greeted warmly by the staff, allowed to leave our bags and change in the bathroom, and cool off for a few minutes in the lounge before starting to explore Venice. The location was great- although close to San Marco Square, the immediate vicinity was lovely on a small square and next to the smallest church in Venice. Our family room was comfortable and loved the Venetian decor. Although it had an air conditioner, it was so hot outside that even with the shades drawn the room did not get cool. We took advantage of the wine in the lobby and beer in the fridge and enjoyed some time on the rooftop terrace. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We are active and we’re aware of the steps to the entrance ahead of time and this did not bother us. We would definitely stay here again.

“Good location”

I enjoyed the location of this hotel. Close to a vaporetto stop, many restaurants and st marks square and the Rialto Bridge. Very small room. Strange decor. There are a lot of stairs up to the hotel. No lift. Terrible breakfast. Helpful staff but a little odd. No see-through windows.
