I really enjoyed my two-week stay at the Hotel Internazionale. The hotel is nicely situated between the train station that’s a 10-minute walk in one direction and the heart of town that’s a 10-minute walk in the other. My room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Taking a shower was an awkward experience. The room was sometimes too chilly, but that was not the hotel's fault. Italian government regulations limit when heating systems can be activated. The staff was very helpful, particularly Rachele at the front desk and Cristiano on the food staff. They were fantastic! Rachele, with her welcoming enthusiasm, recommended and made reservations for us at a number of nice restaurants serving traditional food. Cristiano, with his upbeat personality, introduced me to Sancaberlot wine - a combination of Sangiovese, Cab, and Merlot grapes. The breakfast was decent. I typically had croissants (cornetti), but there were a number of other choices. (The croissants I've had in Paris or those from my local Fresh Market are tastier.) My friends and I enjoyed having a glass of wine in the hotel's "Secret Garden" now and then. Tante grazie Hotel Internazionale!

Perfect location on the main shopping street. Easy access along covered walkways to the main square. Spotlessly clean , beautiful large room with air conditioning that actually works!! Every member of staff was immaculate and they all excelled in their relevant roles . Their efficiency in everything that they do is an example for others to follow. Would absolutely recommend for a base in this lovely city.

In big cities of Italy, when you pay less than 300 Euros for a room night and are not disappointed, it is already a miracle ! We booked a triple room for two nights in Internazionale Bologna, and the overall impression was positive. I will not comment the reservation process which was a bit "complicated", as we have the weakness to believe that for three persons, we should have beds for three in the room. The staff is rather pleasant and professional. The bedroom is large and has been refreshed not long ago with a pleasant "parquet style" floor cover, and good quality of beds. The amenities are good for this level of property. Also, very good impression about the buffet breakfast, which offers a wide selection of good products and good value for money. The minus is the bathroom, which is already a bit old and with not great equipments ; I also recommend to modify the cleaning protocol of the bathtubs (greasy and dirty). The location was perfect for us, close to the railway station (10 minutes walk) and to the historical center, we were able to visit everything by foot.

Conveniently located for my needs just a ten minute walk to the train station in one direction & a ten minute walk to the old town in the other direction. It’s an old fashioned type hotel in a pretty ugly building & which is a bit tired & could do with a makeover. The hallways and common areas in particular are worn & not looking great. I had a superior double room including the buffet breakfast. The room was a good size with high ceilings (compared to the hallway which is very low) but the room needs some maintenance. The double bed was too soft for my liking. The bathroom is a bit small particularly the shower which is over the bath. This is suppose to be a four star hotel but does not have a rack to place your suitcase so a couch has to suffice, there is nowhere to hang wet clothes in the bathroom & there is no iron. The airconditioning was not on when I was there in late October because of city regulations. So the room gets very muggy & warm. The window opens but street traffic is too noisy to leave it constantly open. The buffet breakfast is quite good but heavy on pastries & cakes. The TV has a few English language stations & the wifi is adequate but not great. Overall a good location but generally a disappointing experience.
