We stayed here for a week and were very happy with the accommodation. It is Not a stereo typical Hotel. I would say it is more a Student halls type venue with open plan reception and a refectory style communal dining hall with a servery. There are students, holidaymakers and conference attendees all using the venue so some pay as you go users of dining facilities, hence the servery. Food was OK and plenty of it. There was a bit of a till Fuhrer lady on duty each morning, patience weary of the students, and the queue, but after showing our card she was fine. The bloke on duty with her in contrast was excellent nothing to difficult and very polite. The room was spotless, adequate and virtually nothing on the TV only 4 Italian channels. We weren't fussed as we used as a base to travel all over Italy, Rome/Vatican/Pisa/Venice, staying away for 2 nights. The train station is less than 5 mins from the hotel you can see but not hear it. 1 stop to Bologna regularly 3 euros return. Taxi at 0300 hours to Airport called by hotel only 25 Euros. Result. As said excellent base, but not a hotel. No facilities/entertainment. Vending machines only so be warned. Photos attached. Hope this helps.

Welcoming and friendly staff at the reception, rooms are small, a little bit dusty, with small tv (Italian only), bed was comfy and towels were clean. Good shower pressure. It’s 20-ish mins walk from the old city, area felt quiet and safe. Breakfast was very limited and disappointing. You need to add extra €3pp city tax (May 2023).

“Quality-Price”

New building with spacious and clean rooms. Good international breakfast. Not in the city center but close, both by bus and on foot. New building with spacious and clean rooms. Good international breakfast. Not in the city center but close, both by bus and on foot. The building is also a student hall, but it's quiet and it's not a problem. Only few days during the whole year (usually one in June, one in September and one in February) they host students' parties at night. However, I don't know if the music is too loud or bearable (I know some rooms are SOUNDPROOF).

Camplus Guest Bononia per Ferie on via Samte Vincenze, a few minutes' walk from via Massarenti, which leads directly to Porta San Vitale, is an excellent base for exploring historic Bologna. Renowned for the coloured panels which decorate the outsides of its walls, this attractive modern hotel offers everything most visitors need. The first impression is of a spacious, modern and spotlessly clean hotel with an off-street car park. The staff are friendly and efficient and will call a taxi or direct you to nearby buses. They speak enough English. Taxis arrive in about five minutes. An English-language newspaper wil be available for while you wait. The restaurant serves three meals a day from 7 am and offers a wide selection of hot and cold dishes and drinks. The coffee machine invites you to enter Italian heaven. Remember to show your restaurant card as you sit down My 4th-floor room was warm and comfortable with a clear view of the suburbs. There was plenty of hanging space, a desk, a TV and wi-fi. There was no sofa. The spotless bathroom was a delight for the weary traveller with ample soap, shampoo amd towels and good water pressure and temperature. Camplus Guest is well-appointed hotel although not luxurious. It met my meeds for three nights whild I was attending a conference. Many of the guests were students, who were friendly, quiet and polite. All-in-all this convenient mid-priced hotel, which I booked through booking.com, is a great location which I shall probably use again.
