Hotel is located on the main street and is a short distance from the Basilica of St Francis. It is a small boutique hotel recently remodeled. It still has old world charm. Our room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and so were the pillows. The breakfast was delicious. Many choices-scrambled eggs, bacon, pastries, cakes, fruits, etc. Will be back again.

We had recently spent one wonderful evening, staying at Il Palazzo Assisi. This small hotel is located in an old stone building but has been renovated and modernised. We booked a room on the third floor with amazing views over the Assisi Valley. The room is spacious, bed comfortable, comes with all the usual amenities. The hotel is located on the main pedestrian street of Assisi, within easy walking distance to St Francis Basilíca and the other main attractions. It was so much fun to explore on foot and wander off the Main Street to the side alleys. We had an enjoyable stay and I would recommend Il Palazo.

This is the first time we are staying at Il Palazzo having stayed elsewhere while in Assisi over the last 4 trips. The hotel in itself is charming. It is also generally in a good spot - between Piazza Commune and San Francesco Basilica. There are eateries just by the hotel. The rooms are of different sizes but they are comfortable and clean. Interestingly, this hotel charges €5 for change of daily towels. Otherwise, they will change it every 3 days. Breakfast is decently good and the service lovely. The lady who is in the kitchen is absolutely a wonderful and sweet person. She is also truly patient and helpful. Reception is a totally different story. It is dependent on who you get. While generally courteous and very helpful, you could chance upon the odd one who is plain rude which unfortunately we met. But since he is 1 out of the 3 different receptionists we met does not make him the majority. You will also need to drag your luggage at least 10-15 minutes up from San Giovanni Paolo Carpark. It is quite a lot of slope to climb. Otherwise, you will need to get a cab. I think this is quite an okay place to stay while you are here. While I do not rave about this place, it really is not too bad.

They were so helpful in arranging a taxi service to the train station. The building was so historic but clean and comfortable. The views were breathtaking. My one complaint is that I wish there were thicker curtains. The light woke me up before my alarm and made it difficult to fall asleep. I wish the room had been darker
