“Good hotel for budget”

After arrive we have a fast check in, the lady give us a map with all places to visit, also this hotel is in from of the Santa Chiara church, very close to many places just walking, the room was very comfortable if i back again i book his hotel.

This hotel is in front of the Santa Chiara church, very close to many places within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable.The breakfast was good and included: coffee, cake, bread, butter, cheese, salami and fruit.

After a late arrival and a long journey from Siena, this hotel was a great find, it was very reasonable and right opposite the basilica of St Claire (San Chiara). After a late arrival and a long journey from Siena, this hotel was a great find, it was very reasonable and right opposite the basilica of St Claire (San Chiara). The night person who checked me in was very helpful. I paid for a larger room with double bed and stayed in room 10. The breakfast was good but a little more choice could have been afforded but agin this was reflective of price and included: coffee, cake, bread, butter, cheese, salami and fruit / yoghurt. Morning mass at 7.15 in St. Chiara's was a moving experience in front of San Damiano's cross, which St Francis prayed before and had a mystical experience. Watching the sun rise over the valley was stunning, everywhere is in good walking distance from the hotel. It's a fascinating historical place - medieval, roman, spiritual, tranquil, perched high up in the hills looking down onto an Umbrian Valley and places connected with St Francis, Perugia the castle he was imprisoned for a year, S. Maria del .... the place in which he died (this basilica) is also worth a visit perhaps on he way to the train station it's very near 7 minute walk. I saw so many things in the 24 hours I was in Assisi you may need to make the most of guides experiences etc to get even more of the context. The tomb of St Francis in the church / Franciscan monastery was also important ad thankfully it was very plain and simple - Assisi is like a museum and a very fine one it is too, this whole Assisi experience more than met my expectations a place I would return. The hotel was a budget hotel which means that Assisi is even more reachable to many people, it had wifi, friendly and helpful staff, who even let me check out a little later, they helped mo organise a tour, yes I would return.

Hotel located less than 5 minutes from the municipal piazza and the nearest bus stop. About 15 minutes walk to the Basilica of San Francesco di Assisi. If street noise is a concern, try to get a room not facing the street. To get from the train station to the bus stop nearest the hotel, take bus C from the train station. Ask the driver if he stops at Piazza Largo Properzio which is 5 minutes from the hotel and the Basilica di Santa Chiara which has a nice piazza. When I was there the wifi was one of the best I have experienced. Using Ookla Speed test the four readings were ping 37 - 63, upload 13 - 18, download 27 - 7. Bedside plug as well. At Piazza Largo Properzio there is a small park with benches providing a great view of the valley.
