The hotel is located on a hill with stunning views, ask for a room with a view. If your room doesn't have a view, just check out the bar. In good weather you can sit on the balcony and have a view of the valley. Some of the walls in the dining room are hundreds of years old. I love the preservation of history. There are elevators to rooms and dining room. My room did have a walk-in shower. Some rooms have a small balcony. The food was delicious (especially the veal) and plentiful. We ate as a group and were offered seconds. Anyone with food allergies or preferences (don't like pork, for example) was brought a different protein. The desserts so light and yummy. I liked the variety offered for the breakfast buffet: lovely "rose" rolls, eggs, bacon, croissants, granola, yogurt, juices (love that blood orange juice) lemon cake (wow), even honey dripping from the hive! The staff were friendly, helpful, and respectful. My only suggestion to the Hotel Giotto would be new mattresses, alas, I could feel every spring. Hotel is an easy walk up or downhill to many local shops. Churches within a 10-20 minute walk.

Centrally located hotel. Great valley views and welcoming hospitality from all the team. Restaraunt was ok, more catering for big groups...... Special call out to Roland on the front desk who was most helpful over the couple of days I stayed in Assisi. Gracie mille☘️

“Nice hotel with wonderful staff and amazing breakfast!”

This is a very nice hotel. I rate five stars for the wonderful people working there and the amazing breakfast that came with our booking. The wine shop was nice too. Grabbed a bottle and drank on the terrace our last night there. Room needs improvement. Could have been cooler (a/c), for sure. Needs… more

This is a very nice hotel. I rate five stars for the wonderful people working there and the amazing breakfast that came with our booking. The wine shop was nice too. Grabbed a bottle and drank on the terrace our last night there. Room needs improvement. Could have been cooler (a/c), for sure. Needs a painting and some maintenance/attention. It was clean, though, and had a nice firm mattress. Cleaning crew did an amazing job also. Wish there was a 4.5 on the scale as I would have selected it.

The hotel has been there and has amazing potential, but my experience was not satisfactory. For a hotel of its caliber (and price), I was expecting a little more attention to detail in the furnishings of the room. The shower is not safe: it's a narrow tub with a very smooth slippery curved bottom, and the half glass wall does not keep the water from splashing on the floor. But the main letdown was the staff. Unlike the other places I stayed in Italy, the kindness was forced, not genuine. The breakfast experience was terrible, as I was ignored by the staff, and once I was told to go to a sperate room I found that my setting was missing silverware (for which I couldn't find replacement and again there was no one around to ask.) I was not offered tea or coffee, and I had to figure out everything on my own. What this place is good for is the view! Amazing view, I couldn't stop taking pictures. But then, again, the same view could be seen from other places in town.
