I've been so excited to write this review, as I had read many before I arrived and was so curious as to whether they were accurate. From what I'd read, I expected the building to vibrate and pulse with horribly loud nightclub music and to smell like cigarettes and yet? This wasn't the case. The noise was minimal given it's a city hotel on a street and hosting nightclubs, we stayed on the second floor and also had the window open so what little noise we heard from Diceys patrons below was nowhere near the deafening roar described by multiple reviews I'd read. I'm autistic and VERY sound sensitive, I had brought my own noise-cancelling headphones as foam earplugs are rather useless to me, but I didn't need them once. The room also did not smell like cigarettes, it was lovely. It was intensely warm, to the point we had to open a window and request a fan (which was sent up to us within 10 minutes) but part of this is due to it having been a very hot day in town. Despite being early, our room was already prepared and we were allowed to go get much needed rest. It was tidy and neat, with a beautiful roccoco style I couldn't help adoring as I rarely see it anywhere. The bed was comfortable, the outlets worked, there was a shower and bath, and replacement towels were brought speedily when requested. While not important - I found a Golden Pages in one of the chests of drawers and it was like a kick of nostalgia, it amused me. There was a big fireplace that seemed to be button operated but with the heat of the day there was not a hope of testing it! The only thig that didn't suit myself personally was the lift. It fits 2-3 people quite close together and I found it very claustrophobic and couldn't use it, but that's OK, I have working legs and took the stairs. The staff were very friendly and accomadating. I had booked the wrong day at first, and I emailed asking if it could be fixed, and it was rectified within a few hours and wound up costing less too! It was a very pleasant experience and we'll absolutely be back.

“City centre convenience.”

We had a huge room with two double beds plus couch. The water was fine and hot. I had a great shower. Staff at reception were welcoming and very helpful. We were supplied with ear plugs but weren't needed. Perfect location for city visit. Public transport outside the door,luas line. No car parki... more

We had a huge room with two double beds plus couch. The water was fine and hot. I had a great shower. Staff at reception were welcoming and very helpful. We were supplied with ear plugs but weren't needed. Perfect location for city visit. Public transport outside the door,luas line. No car parking unfortunately but car parking available five minutes away.

“Over-priced but fairly central 6.5/10. ”

This is an average but outdated hotel near St Stephens Green. The rooms are large and my room was uncomfortably warm! The windows only open an inch and there is no ventilation. This is an average but outdated hotel near St Stephens Green. The rooms are large and my room was uncomfortably warm! The windows only open an inch and there is no ventilation. The bathroom facilities are from the 70's and my room was above the night club! The staff were friendly - from the limited interaction I had with them. I was able to navigate to The Gaiety Theatre, Temple Bar, Grafton Street, O'Connell Street, Trinity areas all on foot within a reasonable time. Uber, Taxi, Bus and Tram service are all available with no bother. Slightly over-priced but central.
