I recently stayed at Jacob's Inn in Dublin and had a fantastic experience in multi-bed mixed dorm room. It’s a great choice if you're looking for clean, affordable accommodation with excellent service in the heart of the city. The hostel is very clean from the rooms to the common areas. The dorms are modern and well-kept, with comfortable beds and individual lockers. Despite being in a busy part of Dublin, the rooms were surprisingly quiet, making it easy to get a good night's sleep after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast buffet was very good, with a range of choices to start your day. I really appreciated the option of having a packed breakfast, which is perfect if you’re heading out early for a tour or exploring the city. The staff at Jacob’s Inn were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to answer questions, give directions, and even help arrange tours. Their warmth and helpfulness really made the stay even more enjoyable. The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of Dublin. It's within walking distance of all the major attractions and transport links. Plus, having a Lidl supermarket close by was super convenient for picking up snacks. Jacob’s Inn is a fantastic place to stay for anyone visiting Dublin, whether you're a solo traveler, a group of friends, or on a budget. It's clean, quiet, centrally located, and the staff are wonderful. I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to Dublin!

“Good Hostel”

Good hostel with a reasonably social common area. Staff were friendly and always helpful. Rooms were good and clean. Ensuite bathroom was handy and there are common bathrooms when the ensuite is full. Main downside was that there is no kitchen to cook in.

I stayed two different times as part of a longer trip in Europe and the four pod females room. The bathroom was very clean and while the 15 second push shower seemed a bit short to be pushing a button repeatedly, I understand. For the price I was happy to have such a place. The pods were comfortable with lights and blackout curtains and I appreciate it the big locker that fit my larger suitcase. It did get hot though and the pods while sleeping on both stays but I guess it’s August. The location is next to main bus stop and the Garda station which seem to bring in loiters to the area, but I didn’t feel unsafe. I did take an Uber taxi back once late at night to avoid walking through the dark and shadier parts to get to the front door. They do have locked doors at night and security guard standing checking guest cards which I appreciated. The reception staff was so friendly and helpful and so was the cleaning staff. Very pleasant and nice. I also messed up and double booked my stay and after some back-and-forth, they kindly refunded me part of my payment in my case (I booked a refundable room, but in any case it was my fault and they didn’t have to do that!) very kind and understanding. The only improvement I would make is a communal kitchen area even just an electric kettle and fridge or people can put groceries.

Willians, Is the best of all at the reception. His warm, quinkdness, smooth smile and rapid response to any question or needs makes a client to quickly want to stay. The team at the front desk is very professional and can easily place a group of new clients in their specific rooms. He is not just doing his job but he cares about everyone's journey. A client will never missed what he is looking for in Dublin after Willians has given a direction. Josefina works in the morning, She is special! Her beauty and her excellent look at the desk in the morning makes a client forget about the bad night in the bed. I did create a slogan to myself which says "I don't care how bad my night maybe but Josefina will be here in the morning so I will be happy". She is very lucky to be looking great in the morning compare to many women I have seen. Keith has a talent of dealing with all types of people. Maybe, he has seen a lot of people before. His responses are sharply addressed to all clients. A client can never aske twice. because once is enough. Very professional. Max mainly works at night. Whenever a client cannot sleep for any reason and he or she comes down to the desk or sitting in the guests area, max, just look at you and never says much but he understands exactly why you came down. He takes his time and show you an other place within the building so that you can find yourself well. He is soft in his raections toward all clients at night. The music he is playing at night makes you sit down until 3 am. This was my very first times in Dublin and at that hostels but I liked everything about the professional work. It is just fun to be there. I recommend this place to everyone coming to Dublin. Behi Djah
