We only stayed for a layover so we were in the room about 9-10 hours and most of those were asleep. We picked it because of proximity to airport and had better reviews even if a lower rating. It was fine. The room doesn't have a lot of outlets and the bathroom tub was stained but had one of those mats you put down (gross, no thanks, I just showered when I got home). But again, it was nice for what we needed.

“Handy stop-over, but expensive”

This was just a stop-over for us, but we were treated well. The bed was comfy and the room clean. Shower a bit idiosyncratic and there was no toilet roll holder. But it was fine. We had both dinner and breakfast in the hotel, The food ws very good. i would stay there again, but it is quite pricey for a stop-over. The shuttle to and from the airport to the hotel worked well

The Good: Nice clean room, very comfortable bed, and good hot shower. We arrived in Dublin yesterday and wanted to rest and spend a night after a long flight before picking up our rental car. For that purpose, this is a good hotel. The staff have been very nice, including in the restaurant and reception. Conveniently located from airport. It was a short cab ride from the airport as I’d forgotten that they do have a shuttle that apparently runs every 20 mins until 10am, then every 30 mins to/from airport. Other Comments: The receptionists were nice and doing their best, but their reception system is VERY slow, so expect a wait to check in. Push back if you get a noisy room. Our first room assignment was on the 1st Floor just above the outside of the lobby and very noisy when we opened our window as the weather was pleasant (mid-50s to low 60 degrees F) and we did not want to use the air conditioner. Our second room was on the 2nd floor (I think there are only 4 floors if you count the ground floor) facing the parking lot and surprisingly quiet all night, so that was nice. The actual food in the ground floor restaurant was mediocre and the upper 3rd Floor restaurant with the airport view was closed for a private event. We ended up taking an easy 20-30 min cab ride into central Dublin for dinner. Overall, if we had to stay near Dublin airport I would stay here again.

Stayed one night before returning to the US. Good location, our room was large and the bed comfortable but it stops there. Our room smelled swampy like the rug had been shampooed and not all the water had been extracted. The scent of the laundry detergent on the bed linens was overpowering and made it hard to breathe. The shower stall was very small. Lighting was very poor in the room. The lowest temperature allowed on the thermostat was 19C (66F) and for most I'm sure that's fine but was too warm for us to get good sleep. The one-piece bed covering also made it difficult to not overheat because you could not peel off layers. The food at Kittyhawks Restaurant was mediocre at best (with the exception of the brownie dessert and the cappuccino which were excellent) and the breakfast buffet was sub-par and similar to what you'd find at a chain such as Embassy Suites. Very disappointing.
