At first glance this might just seem your average business hotel in a nice location by the river. But the staff are just wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. When we arrived the IT had gone done and we went to our room and it was nice but we wanted a river view. Shannon and Halana went out of their way to get us switched to a nice river view room. Whilst they were looking we went to the nice bar and Conor let us try a few of the drinks to make sure we got the beer and wine we wanted. Gave us advice on things to see and how to play hurling. The room was clean and spacious. It had a double and a single bed. Lovely view over the river but just to warn you if you open the window the traffic is loud during rush hours. Breakfasts are very nice. Although a buffet the serving plates are small so constantly refreshed. Black and white pudding too and the porridge was very nice. Staff again were superb but didn't get all their names. Iris behind the bar was so nice too when we had a late nightcap after a night touring Corks pubs. We are not usually fans of business hotels but the service here was exceptional. Thank you to everyone. FYI the bus station is a couple of minutes away on the river and the train station ten minutes away at most. Taxis to airport are 20 euros ish.

“Great Hotel - We we’re well looked after”

We stayed in the family room with breakfast option. The service on arrival was great, they even had Easter eggs for the kids. Room had everything we needed and the buffet breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. It’s a great location and probably takes 10-15 mins to get into the action in Cork City by foot. Well worth the price and great value overall.

In a good location on Anderson’s Quay in Cork it is in easy walking distance of the shops and bars of Cork. There is a bus station very close for those arriving by bus which might be useful. Hotel has secure parking at the rear and there is also an overflow car park across the street. Room was clean and adequate. We had a room with a view of the Lee River and you could see down the river towards the Harbour. Area around the hotel is a bit rundown, not an issue the hotel can deal with and there are other hotels in the area. Breakfast was good but when we were down it was very busy as there was a coach party in and they had an early departure so all descended at once as soon as breakfast started the staff managed really well. First stay in a Leonardo’s Hotel used to be called Jurry’s and they are always alright and reasonable value. Reception staff very good and a quick check in we arrived early and they found a room for us so we didn’t have to leave our bags at reception.

The room was a good size, plenty of space for 2 people. It had a lovely view from the window. The hotel/room was dated. The curtains and carpeting looked as if they had seen better days. The room appeared clean. There is no air conditioning. It was unseasonably warm and humid while we were there. There was a table fan, it helped, but the room was uncomfortably warm at times. It was nice having a restaurant on-site, the menu was adequate and our breakfast/meals were good.
