“A must stay”
Out of sight food, Christmas tree in the room, super service. Just a fantastic place to stay. Christmas decor was overwhelmingly great. Staff answered all questions on local to dos and other eating options. Beautiful room, well appointed.

My husband and I recently spent a few nights at Hayfield Manor Hotel. It was our first visit there .From check in to departure we felt very welcome and comfortable in this lovely hotel. The owners really have the pick of the staff when it comes to this hotel. The staff are exceptional.Everyone is friendly and unpretentious (qualities which can be rare enough in hotels of this calibre). There was no evidence of hierarchy regardless of anyone’s position. They were a joy to deal with. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable as expected. The turndown service was a nice touch. On a personal note I found the memory foam mattress very uncomfortable. There were good quality Elemis products in the bathroom but it was impossible to get the product out of the bottles due to the way they are attached to the wall. There’s a rain shower and a hand held shower in the cubicle. The hand held shower is awkward to use as there is no way of attaching it to a height appropriate level, so you hold it with one hand and wash with the other…just a design fault! The food and beverage options were simply delicious. The restaurant staff were once again excellent,so polite and professional. Breakfast was fabulous, great coffee, fresh juices and the most appetising menu. Dinner was equally delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great. It’s the ideal place to relax and dine in luxury. We were actually sorry we didn’t dine here again on our second night. We will know the next time. We were completely impressed with Hayfield Manor Hotel. We really enjoyed our stay there.Understated elegance at its best.
