Kerry this is one little gem of a hotel listed as 3 stars but you get 4/5 stars treatment once you enter the the front door just 4.7kilometers outside Killarney town only 8 minutes by taxi to town centre

“Homely and friendly hotel.”
Spent two days in the Torc Hotel. The hotel is outdated and needs refurbishment but it is very clean and comfortable. The staff are lovely and friendly and the food is very good. The hotel is a couple of km outside Killarney so you would need transport. We had a lovely time .

The hotel is outdated and there was no way to regulate the heat. Rooms were an oven so we were forced to open a window, it didn’t help much. The lady at the front desk was lovely and helpful. The Bistro was ok. The breakfast for our tour group was fair. We had no choice, it was a set breakfast with some extras like porridge. The coffee was water and the waitresses were not helpful. I wouldn’t stay here again given a choice.
