We stayed here for 6 nights as part of a trailfinders trip. The oberoi goes all out to make your trip special. Chilling by the pool, they provide you with sun lotion and face spray, and Gunawan provided us with an endless supply of water. Eva would set up our towels and provide sunglasses cleaning every day. Little fruit sticks and ice cream were brought out during the day complimentary. The views are stunning, especially the sunset. Our housekeeper kept our room immaculate and, again, little things like providing us with a complimentary ipad cleaner and velcro cable ties for our chargers ensured our room was always beautiful. Complimentary bathroom products were also provided and well stocked. The bar area is wonderful for a beer and to sit and watch the surfers. Breakfast is out of this world with plenty of different cuisines to try. This was a table service breakfast, which made it even more special.

Our first stay at The Oberoi Beach Resort, Bali was in March 1996 with the express purpose of making another baby, happily The Oberoi worked it’s magic and we now have a wonderful son who is about to turn 28. Subsequent infrequent trips to Bali saw us generally travelling with young kids and large families, so we tended to stay in hotels that appealed to a broader cross section of our large family group and our wallets. Recently we returned as an older couple to reacquaint ourselves with The Oberoi Beach Resort - Bali and it was like we had never left. The staff (most who were probably not born when we first visited) are amazing and super friendly and helpful. The property and its buildings are in built in the traditional Balinese style with world renowned Australian architect Peter Mueller putting his stamp on this piece of wonderful seaside property. The quality of the build with the respect for Balinese culture is just wonderful and the feel of the property with the surf crashing in close proximity, promotes a tranquil ambience that is difficult to find in the hustle bustle of the Seminyak villlage, which is within walking distance. If you like slick and modern, this isn't for you. However, if you appreciate the culture and the artistry of beautiful traditional architecture, manicured and expansive gardens, beach views from a lot of the rooms and all the dining facilities and most of all the attention, service and outstanding friendliness of the staff, from the GM to the gardeners, then this is you. If you want some excitement, walk next door to Ku De Ta to get in some chilled vibe during the day and full throttle dance action at night or take a walk or the hotel shuttle into Seminyak to experience all the facets that Bali has to offer. Although the restaurants onsite a very good and worth spending time at, take a stroll to nearby Mama San or Buzo, part of chef Will Meyrick's clutch of Bali restaraunts for some extra dining excitement.   All in all, a spectacular property and well worth your attention. We are on our way back to The Oberoi Beach Resort, Bali in November 2024, this time instead of 28 years between visits, it will be 28 days. Enjoy.

My wife and I would like to express our heartfelt thanks to your team, including Lia, Juli, Zaka, Nitya, Angga, and Diah, for everything they did to make us happy. Our Villa 214 was outstanding. The service and the food were both first-class. We would have liked to speak with the chef, but unfortunately, his conversations with Italian guests limited this opportunity. That was a pity. Please maintain your high standards. We have no complaints. Please continue to support your staff as you have been. Names like Lia, Juli, Zaka, Nitya, Angga, and Diah deserve special mention, as well as our gardeners and housekeeping. Thank you for that.

“The ultimate luxury at an incredible hotel”

We visited the Oberoi as the last stop on our honeymoon and it was a lovely end to a few weeks of travelling. When we arrived we were greeted with flower necklaces and we were soon shown to our room which was ready early for us. We stayed in one of the Lanai rooms which was spacious and spotlessly clean. As we were celebrating, we were greeted by a cake and a card in the room which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was really special with it looking out to the beachfront. We loved the choice on the menu and wish we could have tried more! The staff provided a brilliant breakfast service, being so attentive to provide us shade and plenty of drinks top ups. We were offered breakfast in our room as part of our honeymoon celebrations, but as we loved sitting looking out at the sea so much, we didn’t opt for this in the end. We really enjoyed the afternoon tea on offer, as well as the various things (fruit sticks, sorbets etc.) that were given out around the poolside. We even had our sunglasses cleaned for us while we were sat there with shows how luxurious this hotel is! The afternoon tea we had with Balinese music and name writing was particularly special – a huge thank you to the man and his son (sorry we didn’t get your names) who were so enthusiastic about their fantastic culture. We loved speaking to you. One thing that stands out at this hotel is the attention to detail in the rooms. Each night we came back to our belongings neatly arranged for us, along with special additions to our room such as a teddy with our initials on it. This was all beyond our expectations, and made our stay very special. Although we found that Seminyak wasn’t the area for us, this didn’t matter when we were staying at such a special hotel. We would definitely recommend the Oberoi, Bali!
