We had a wonderful time staying at St. Regis Bali. Every employee greeted us with warm smiles and offered top-notch services. Our butlers Erni and Tin prepared flowers for my mother on Mother's Day. The bar and restaurant employees recommended delicious local Balinese dishes and made meal reservations for us at the resort and outside restaurants. Eka at the breakfast restaurant provided top-notch service and ensured we enjoyed the meals. The resort is gorgeous with many plants, modern facilities, and space. We had an amazing experience there and would pick St. Regis for our future visits to Bali.

First and foremost, St. Regis Bali is AWESOME!! I would recommend breaking the bank and stay at St. Regis Bali Resort for a couple of days. My recommendation would be putting this as the last stop when you already have been around Bali and just want to be pampered for a couple of days before heading back home. This resort has been on my bucket list for a long time, and finally we made the decision to stay here due to some scheduling issues with our regular hotel. Our friends in the hospitality world have been recommending to us this hotel as it scores highest service ratings within Marriott hotels in Bali (maybe also ASEAN). We felt the high service level already from the moment we confirmed our booking (which included airport transfers), where the staff made sure that the transfer to the hotel was smooth and that our room was prepared properly according to the nature of our stay. Even my wife made a comment that the service level was different (better) than our current hotel (which of course is a given due to the different category of the hotel). This continued at arrival, check-in and accompanying to the room including emergency situations briefings. The impeccable service also continued at breakfast where the staff at Boneka makes sure the service feels personalized and you are comfortable at breakfast (the coffee was great!!). Even when lounging at the beach, the staff made sure that you have a comfortable stay at the beach, whether it is from preparing the chairs, towels, preparing water for hydration or even preparing small refreshments after sunbathing. Kayuputi, we have frequented this restaurant (this is probably the third year in a row), where everything seems to be coming together (food, service, and value). The food quality is consistently high which goes along with the service and reflects on the value you are getting. I recommend having your special dinners celebrated here. Why the FOUR stars rating if everything is great? I experienced 2 incidents with security guards on 2 different days where they treated me as if i were not a guest (which is contradictive to the whole philosophy of St. Regis Bali). I gave my feedback to the hotel and they made it up with us but i do hope they implement a solution to counter this (maybe face recognition tech and hospitality training) as upon reading further in the reviews here, it looks like a common theme. We would like to thank the hotel management (Ni Luh Ratnasari, Herry Yuliawan, Asep), Front Desk (Aya-san, Liliana), Butler (pak Sofyan, Putra, Santo), Restaurant (Didik, Wijaya and the team), Beach staff and Vista bar staff and all the other staff members which we cannot name one by one for making sure we are taken care of during our stay. thank you for taking in our feedback, following up and taking action on it, really appreciate it. To summarise: Pros Amazing staff Rooms beautifully appointed, clean, and generous in size Grand entrance Well kept manicured gardens and pool areas Great beach chairs very comfortable, raked sand Kayuputi fine dining with fantastic ocean views Kayuputi served a fantastic vegan beetroot entree Quiet Great little boutique on site Cons Level of service almost intrusive at some meals if that’s a thing Signature dish in Boneka (steak) was sitting very tough in what tasted like a broth of water Fumigation for pests prolific Tour of the Spa - definitely didn’t look enticing or somewhere where I would enjoy an immersive experience Wine $415AUD for a $50AUD bottle of NZ Cloudy Bay Sauv Blanc? That’s an outrageous markup regardless of import fees imo Breakfast - some items were def high end eg egg white omelette in lobster bisque, but overall selection and taste pales in comparison to Four Seasons Jimbaran which was outstanding Coffee via butler service was lukewarm even after asking twice for hot. Hard to 100% recommend for the price.

Absolute tranquility and calm in a breathtaking setting. It’s everything a St Regis should be. If you can, upgrade to a lagoon villa but the rooms start with a suite. Some of the comments on here suggest it’s expensive but we found it good value. Restaurants are varied and good. Service is excellent if a little overwhelming at times which seems to be a Bali trait. It’s exhausting getting asked several times if a meal is good but it’s only the staff being friendly which is what they are. The only disappointment is the beach. Outside the St Regis it’s fine but it’s a massive stretch of the most unbelievable beach but it’s horribly managed and it reflects what’s wrong with Bali. The hotels take care of their own stretch but beyond that, it’s strays into a public area which is festooned with rubbish. For me the cost of plonking this quality of a hotel - as well as many others, on this beach should be responsibility for the entire beach - not a 250 yard stretch of it. Compared to how I’ve seen beaches managed elsewhere it’s poor and it was the same at the W Bali in Seminyak. Bali now charges a levy from tourists as well as a Visa cost. I’ll be interested to see whether this has any impact as if they can’t keep their beaches clean - Bali is as good as dead. It’s a shame for amazing people. St Regis 10/10 on their stretch but I think collectively the hotels could do more.
