It’s always hard to pick a hotel as there’s way too many so I hope my review will be somewhat useful for other people. It was first time to use this hotel and I wanted to save budget for my 3 weeks stay during pricy holiday season but looking for something to satisfy my needs, overall my stay was satisfactory. Positives: Location- walking distance to many restaurants/cafes, Beachwalk shopping mall about 15mins walk, I could safely walk back from beach with my longboard (you only have to cross traffic once at beachside road) -Free water server (hot/cold)at lobby(instead, no free water bottles at room) -Scale (you can weigh a suitcase)at lobby -Quiet enough-no loud live music etc. at their attached restaurant/nearby places (However when someone talks at hallway it really sounds loudly so pls keep it down for other guests) -Room clean enough -Good reception of cable TV with many international channels (they use old type tick TV though) -Wifi usable at room(Not too strong and only usable at bedhead space but better than going out to lobby/outside to get wifi like some other cheap hotels) Others: -All purpose shampoo dispenser attached on bathroom wall (no other amenities) -No hair dryer (I bought cheap one at Miniso) -Somehow at my standard room, hot shower came from “C”bulb and cold water came from “H”, once I found out it was ok -There was no “don’t disturb/please make up room” door sign so if you want to sleep longer you can just tell them the preferred cleaning time beforehand -At first I got many mosquito bites so you’d better immediately take shower after entering the room as sweat attracts them and get cheap repellent spray/lotion/oil at drug store (worked for me) -I used standard room (18㎡), if you are more than two people I think you would want to try spacier room. For me OK as my partner was often away for surf trip. -I didn’t use their swimming pool, looked good for kids/families Lastly, the manager let me stay even after the usual checkout time (also offered free drink) as complimentary for my long stay. Since my leaving flight was at 11pm, it was super helpful to be able to stay until the last minute.
