LOVED LOVED LOVED it - the setting is magic and incredibly peaceful. The staff, all of them, are gorgeous, so friendly, super helpful and go out their way for you. Many of them know you by name. I loved how one guy reserved our favourite poolside spot each morning & constantly refreshed our iced water. The daily spa treatment for hubby and myself was the ultimate treat. The food was healthy, delicious and plentiful. The waiting staff were fantastic. It’s hard to single the staff out because they were all amazing. They worked together like a family and you felt it. Thank you for making our time with you so special and relaxing ❤️ We had the best time and I highly recommend it.

This hotel was the first of 2 on our Bali honeymoon - we booked this first as somewhere to unwind and relax after the craziness of home life, our wedding and the long journey, before we hit busier parts of Bali. And wow, it was the right decision! Everything was just designed for relaxation and bliss; from the welcome ritual of foot and shoulder massage, to the included all over body treatments, the food, the 'guest attire' and the yoga, it was wonderful. The hotel is probably more like a wellness retreat than a typical resort. It is very much out of the way, and yes it's a long drive from the airport but sooo worth it! The peace and quiet is just heavenly. We had a villa with a pool and the ocean was just at the edge of the garden with a deserted beach. We got up early each morning to watch the sun rise, just a few steps from our bed. Or we swam in our private infinity pool and lounged on our private cabana. The room was huge and very much in traditional Balinese style. You couldn't really head out alone anywhere from the hotel but that wasn't what we wanted from this part of our holiday, we very much wanted to stay put. We did go out on a narrow boat for sunset, and we also went up to the waterfall with a member of the team, which was just brilliant, highly recommend this one - we had the waterfall to ourselves. The yoga was excellent, and the hotel also arranged a private dinner for us in our garden with traditional Balinese dancers, and also a Hindu blessing for our wedding which was just so special and memorable. We stayed for 4 nights which was just right for us before we headed to a busier spot; as others have said, if you want hustle and bustle, this place isn't for you, but if you want pampering and complete relaxation then don't hesitate to book. “Lovely and relaxing.”

This was our third and last stop on the island and stayed for four nights. Our first two stays were at places that are usually on the “best resort/hotel” lists that magazines put out, with lavish breakfast buffets, lovely gyms and butlers. This is not that. This was our third and last stop on the island and stayed for four nights. Our first two stays were at places that are usually on the “best resort/hotel” lists that magazines put out, with lavish breakfast buffets, lovely gyms and butlers. This is not that. But it may have been our favorite stop. This was a last minute change from the Alilia in Uluwatu to this. After visiting Uluwatu for a day I am so glad I did. This felt closer to an authentic Bali experience. I would have preferred a suite and /or a view but none were available. The basic room was just fine as we didn’t spend much time in it. Given a choice I probably would choose a view over a bigger room. This place is remote. This is not your place If you don’t like lounging but want to go on a new adventure every day. I guess you could, but everywhere is a long drive. After paying 900k rph for a driver for 10 hours, 425k for a one hour drive seems steep. We took a gojek into Amed but they can’t pick up there. We had to haggle with a taxi driver who knows we have no plan b. When you see five star ratings for this place it isn’t for the rooms or the gym or the food-the food is good but limited choice at limited times. . You can’t eat by the pool or have room service. I was traveling with my adult daughter and we were satisfied. My husband would have been starving two hours after every meal. The fresh fish was always amazing. The facilities are older and in spots maybe one could say run down. The gym was awful. In a hot humid room with one old elliptical, a broken treadmill and free weights. I expected more yoga. If you want a good workout every day-it won’t happen here. There isn’t anywhere to go for a walk. One day we went in to Amed and did a wonderful Snorkle adventure. We booked direct with the vendor who took us out privately for three+ hours. This was not arranged by the hotel. May have been the highlight of our Bali trip. We also did the sunrise hike up mt batur. Booked it through the hotel. The hotel staff met us at two am with bags of breakfast pastries and fruit. Another highlight. The daily spa treatment was lovely. The yoga we did do was also very good. I seem to have been quite critical, but only to deter people for whom this would be a bad fit. For us it was magical. The location, hearing the sea from almost everywhere, the pool, the staff , the size (not huge) and the vibe. It’s all so very calm. I think the perfect amount of time would have been six nights.

Excellent resort which is extremely peaceful, being located in a quiet part of Bali and which has a small number of rooms keeping the guest count small. Excellent resort which is extremely peaceful, being located in a quiet part of Bali and which has a small number of rooms keeping the guest count small. Also, kids are not allowed so that adds to the peace. The pool area was nice and chairs/cabanas were always available. The beach is rocky but definitely swimmable. The food was delicious though a bit small in portions. Rooms were perfectly comfortable. Lots of helpful staff and the included spa treatments added to the experience. There are a few excursions the hotel can arrange which was convenient. Only reason I can't give 5 stars is the long and grueling drive to and from the airport! It is 3-4 hours of traffic, bumps, road-sickness etc, so just be prepared for that. But maybe that's the only way you can get peace on Bali!
