“Fantastic holiday”

This was our first time at the resort and our holiday started at the airport with a warm welcome from our transfer driver Sukaya who was very helpful and informative. We were pleasantly surprised with the grandeur, cleanliness and spaciousness of the hotel. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was fresh and inviting thanks to our room attendants and the view was magnificent, overlooking the ocean and the well manicured gardens. Great variety of restaurants where the food was fresh and delicious, so many mouth watering choices and all the staff were excellent in particular the Grand Cafe, staff happy to meet any request, special mention to Lila, Dio, Dewa J, and Mini. Thanks to the bar staff in the Panarama lounge for the great cocktails. Many thanks to all staff members you do an absolutely amazing job, you all made our time with you such a joyful and memorable experience . Our awesome holiday came to a close with a fond farewell with a transfer to the airport from Wirajaaya. Can’t wait to return.

“Family celebrating a special anniversary. Staff made it memorable”

Resort is beautiful, staff are the best. Particularly Sukma, Suda and Yudi who helped make a special celebration beautiful. Some rooms are in need of renovations but didn’t spoil our holiday. We were a party of 15 and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Thank you to all of them, way too many to name individually. Great from families, we were travelling with children .

“Great Resort for families”

There were 16 of us 4 stayed in the old part and those with kids on the family side. My room simple layout unfortunately very old, leaking toilet and old bathroom with some roof stains etc. but bed was reasonably comfortable even though two queen beds were joined together but overall room was ok.... more

There were 16 of us 4 stayed in the old part and those with kids on the family side. My room simple layout unfortunately very old, leaking toilet and old bathroom with some roof stains etc. but bed was reasonably comfortable even though two queen beds were joined together but overall room was ok. The rooms on the family side were much bigger and newer. We swam most days in the family pool area for the kids benefit and we generally found enough seats for 16 of us in the morning. The kids loved all the water slides in the main and smaller front pool. The infinity pool was great for a break from kids but was hard to get a spot. The main pool in the old area was great also except kids were annoying at the swim up bar. My suggestion would be to make this a adults only area also. The resort on a whole is big so be prepared to walk. We ate brekkie every day and found it reasonably simple to navigate around and find a seat even with 16 of us. The service was pretty good just be patient waiting for a coffee. We only ate at Chopstick inside the hotel. I would never eat there again even if someone paid for the meal. The rest of our meals were within walking distance or at Bali connection. Everything you need is close by, the hotel has a couple of bars to drink at but again bars are very close to the resort. I would try somewhere else before coming here again but if the kids wanted to come here I would be happy to return, weather has been great most days with one night of rain only.

The Grand Mirage is very well set out for families, couples, and all types of different cultures to visit. The staff are pretty friendly, but I think maybe they prefer guests that are not on the all-inclusive booking. As they can then get tips from guests. The property was clean and well-organized. The food was good. water sports were great. If you don't buy from them and use another provider, they get annoyed. Our driver Madesukaya was lovely and very helpful. The shops in the street outside the Mirage were very dirty on the outside and the smells in Bali were very strong from pollution and just rubbish being thrown on the streets. The only real disappointment was the so-called Henna tattoo guy Nico - who ripped us off big time. We got 2 very small (not Henna) some ink substance tattoos and he charged us AUD $50..be very careful if you come across him. He might seem nice. But not trustworthy. I am not sure why they would rip us off when they know it is their livelihood. Very disappointing.
