“A very special Bali experience”

This is a wonderful hotel that is not the standard Bali holiday experience. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds, with a lovely pool and a very special atmosphere. It almost feels as if you are staying in a secret Balinese palace! We stayed in a villa (with a private pool) which was very spacious, clean and comfortable, The breakfast was extremely good and all the staff who looked after us were exceptionally friendly, kind and eager to help. WORTH KNOWING The Plataran is located in a side street in Canggu away from the beach. There is not much close by that you can walk to which threw us at first but please bear in mind two things. Firstly, the hotel offers free rides into nearby Seminyak which had good shopping, a nice range of cafes, a lovely beach and great seafront restaurants (try Seasalt as a treat). Tanah Lot Temple is also not too far away and worth a visit especially if you stay for the fire dance. Secondly, perhaps change your mindset from a normal Bali beach holiday. We really enjoyed unwinding at the hotel. We had a lovely massage from the onsite therapist and did a great cooking course with the head chef. All this made our trip very special. So take the time to enjoy what the Plataran uniquely offers.

Staff are very courteous and accommodating. Always happy to help. Villa was clean and well maintained. Restaurant food was sublime, expertly prepared and presented over a variety of cusines. Cocktails were very refreshing and presented beautifully. Spa was very professional and left feeling refreshed. Situated fairly closely to popular spots like Seminyak and Ubud, the traffic will take some getting used to. Can't wait to come back!

“Review”
Everything was fantastic. The hotell people were so friendly and did everything for us. We loved the villas and the spa was really good. Restaurant was also beautiful and the food was good. Definitely recommend and hope to come back one day.

Also love the classical architecture & semi-open bathroom. Although being the oldest Plataran hotel, the facilities are clean and well maintained & the staff are all very attentive. Couldn’t ask for more!

“Amazing services great food, and lovely people in this hotel”
fantastic Services and our family was really looked after well. Great food great cooking courses.. will be definitely coming back here again . Agung was amazing spa therapist.. The chefs are amazing here too. Very comfortable stay . No planning a trip with our friends here.
