It was accidental choice to visit Zury restaurant recommend by Chef Jubeesh We had a fantastic surprise by Boban chef and have had pleasant smiling face with heartfelt service by Justin at Lime tree restaurant with mouth watering food amazing food 🥘

The ambience and setting are beautiful. After a few technical issues with our telephone we were sorted. Our rooms overlooked the lake and the gardens and the paved walkways provided a lovely walk across to the bar. Service in all areas was wonderful. The meal in the Lime Restaurant was delicious and Arpan, our waiter, was attentive and helpful. A lovely stay to relax after touring Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

We stayed as a family for 2 nights and 3 days during diwali holidays. #Pros 1.Very peaceful ambience. Such beauty! 2.Welcome drink- tender coconut ( unlike other star hotel, it was not an artificial drink and the chose the best fresh tender coconuts too) 3.Welcome snack in the room - fruit platter ( unlike other hotels where you are provided with cookies, Zuri has opted for a natural healthy snack which has to be really appreciated 4.Fabulous service- whatever be the issue, it was immediately rectified, be it buggy, room service, in room dining 5.Housekeeping- when we went outing, they cleaned the room without us asking for it ( yeah some people don't like this but i liked this ) they moped the entire room, bathroom, even folded our clothes too 6.Gym- well cleaned and well equipped. 7.Diwali events- They took so much care for diwali preparations, they gave us safe diwali crackers, took photos, music and dance shows were conducted. It was so pleasant 8.Cycle - guests are provided with cycle to roam about in this huge area. That's a healthy way of transport 9. The Cleaning staff are given umbrella like thing to cover their heads during cleaning. I appreciate the management for taking care of their workers Cons 1.FOOD - 😶. My major concern was the taste. Yeah of course the food was fresh, good quality. But the taste was bland in almost everything. Almost no salt in everything. We had free breakfast and i had dinner on diwali night - it was not a special dinner or anything. The amount of dishes were far less when compared to other five star hotels. I understand that if salt is less we can add and compensate. But we can't inject salt into chicken or dosa Or idli😐. If they had added proper amount of salt it would have been amazing. Most of the dish taste was unsatisfactory. Few below average. Only selected items were good. Nothing extraordinary or anything. The items in breakfast were extremely less. I have been to a wide range of star hotels, they atleast have one or two non veg dishes for breakfast. But they only had sausages, salami. I don't know why. May be as because the breakfast is free , they might have provided with less dishes. I don't know. Still the taste was really not good. Pretty upset about food. 2. In room dining : Here too the service was spectacular, they provided the dish as and how I wanted. But again the taste was 😶😶. The buffet had no salt and the in room dining dishes were full of salt. I didn't want to waste the food. So i ate it. If there was moderate salt it would have been such a good food. But one good thing is that. They immediately ask for review and made the changes well - they said they will provide replacement. I said no. But they were really nice to make that dish free. That's really appreciated👏 3.Spa -was kinda average. My parents took a couple ayurvedic full body massage. The instructors were not that great . Was not too bad too. It's was ok. The Jacuzzi was quite nice. 4.Lizards - it was just outside our room. May be because its a resort. Still could have kept the campus clean 5. Swimming pool- it had literal sand in the floor of the pool. I couldn't stand it. Full of sand with very little stone like thing. Had pungent smell of chlorine. But the rooms for after- shower were great 6. In many hotels - they ask for the check out time ,a day before the check out. Or atleast during 10am on the day of check out to prepare . So I called them at 11:30 to inform I would be checking out at 1 pm. They said it's not possible. Their check out was 11am. things.They didn't inform about this timing upon arrival. They rushed us. And we had to check out by 12:15 from the room. But the other guests are cool. They haven't checked out till now. It's 1:16pm right now. I know about the hotel policies. They atleast should give a prior call so that we can prepare for it. And they have an outrageous check in at 3pm and check out at 11am. In most five star hotels it's 2pm to 12pm. Overall rating would be - 3.5 /5 ( mainly due to the food) It's a good place for staycation. But at the same time as outside food is not possible and restaurants in kumarakom are not that great too. So you have to take the risk.. Your choice. I hope the make necessary changes in food But other than that - it was a very good stay. Felt happy.
