“Great place for Goa vacation”

Great spacious villa with comfortable beds. Great location, very close to the beach and Fort Aguada. Great restaurants near by. They were great hosts -- they arranged taxis for us and answered any questions about the surrounding area. The pool was cleaned daily.

Family of five with three kids (19, 16, 10) staying in the 4 bedroom Royal Jacuzzi Villa B42 in April 2024. As this was our first holiday to Goa we weren’t exactly sure what to expect, so wanted a relaxing get away where we’d be comfortable and Aguada Anchorage didn’t disappoint. We found the accommodation very spacious, good value for money and perfect for our needs with 4 very large ensuite bedrooms, a kitchen and dining room, sitting room and outdoor terrace/garden. The villa was well equipped. Each room had air con and a fan, so we could keep cool and control the temperature in our own rooms. The WiFi was excellent throughout our stay and we had no problems streaming from multiple devices. It was particularly useful to have a washing machine/clothes airer and a large fridge freezer and there was also a gas hob and microwave. The Aqua Safe water dispenser was a nice addition, providing safe drinking water whenever needed. An iron/ironing board and hairdryers were provided and the body wash/shampoo, tea/coffee and bottled water that were replenished daily, were a nice extra touch. Whilst the cooking utensils were fairly basic, honestly we didn’t really need them and I’m sure if we’d asked Sheetel and the reception team they would have provided anything we’d asked for. The outdoor space was private with lots of plants and shrubs enclosing our garden also making it a haven for some local wildlife (birds, butterflies, palm squirrels). The only downside to the outdoor space was it was always in shade, which is great when you want to keep cool, but not so good for sunbathing. The shade also meant the jaccuzi water didn’t get warm like the main pools, meaning we didn't get as much use out of it as we would've liked, but the jacuzzi was kept lovely and clean by the housekeeping staff. The complex itself was similarly beautiful with trees, flowers and wildlife. It was very clean and well maintained, with a staff team cleaning the pools and walkways seemingly continuously. It was also very calm and quiet. There wasn’t any restaurants or other facilities on site and most people seemed to stick to their own villas, so we most often had the communal pool to ourselves and there wasn’t much socialising going on - perfect if you want a secluded getaway, but worth considering if you are looking for something more lively. The complex felt very safe, with a 24 hour security team at the gates, who always greeted us with welcoming smiles and could be contacted 24hrs a day. The team at Aguada Anchorage looked after us extremely well and couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. The house keeping team were quick and efficient, cleaning our villa to a very high standard each and every day. They replaced bath and pool towels if used, no matter where we had accidentally left them and even did the washing up if there was any! Whist there is no restaurant on site, we really enjoyed the dine-in room service. It’s a little more expensive than eating out, but very convenient. There was a good amount of choice on the main menu and an additional tandoori menu was available from 7.30pm. Orders could take around 45/60 minutes to arrive, particularly in the evening, but the food was delivered to your table and always delicious. The reception team were extremely helpful and dealt promptly with any requests. Sheetal was able to offer advice about things to do in the area and arrange taxis and trips for us. As a family of five we need a larger taxi, so arranging taxi’s with Sheetel worked well for us. You could hire for a one way trip, but we preferred to hire for either 4 or 8 hours and the driver acted a little as a guide as well as a driver. It was a slightly more expensive way to travel, but it was convenient and easy for us. We were also able to customise our own trips and we did a tour of North & South Goa separately, choosing the places we wanted to visit, as well as travelling to a tailors in Mapusa and the night market in Ajuna. The location of Aguada Anchorage is relaxing and quiet, right at the bottom of the strip near Sinquerim Beach. It was easily walkable to the beach and the shops, restaurants, spas etc. at the bottom of the strip, but we would recommend a taxi to explore much further. One day we walked 30 minutes to the supermarket further up the strip near Candolim beach, but decided a taxi back was probably more sensible! Overall we had a wonderful holiday and loved everything about Aguada Anchorage. It’s a safe enclosed villa complex that’s very peaceful and relaxing, well maintained with helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended for families who enjoy the quiet life and we’d love to visit again someday.

“Aguada Anchorage”

The place is clean and hygienic. We were a big group, so the big halls and big rooms were helpful. Also the front desk is very helpful. We forgot a watch about which we were informed immediately and sent back to us to our address at requested. Great place.
