Location: This romantic hotel is located in the old city center which is the favourite part of Reykjavík. It lies on Aðalstræti, one of Reykjavík’s oldest streets, in a newly renovated building, the oldest part of which was built in 1764. On either side of it, new buildings have been built in the likeness of their historic predecessors Fjalakötturinn.

“Fabulous hotel, location could not be better.”
The location of the hotel was perfect. It is really central and everything was in easy walking distance, yet it was super quiet. The bed was huge and really comfy. The breakfast was good, both buffet and cooked. Would definitely stay again and would recommend.

Very friendly staff. Had a suit, so had the two floors. Interesting set up. But practical. Found the lack of being able to drop off by shuttle right in front be a little annoying. Otherwise all good. Excellent location in central Reykjavik and the breakfast options were great! Room was basic but clean and had everything you needed to enjoy a comfortable stay. Very conveniently located in the historic part of town. Lovely staff but outdated rooms. Very good buffet breakfast.Very good stay in spite of some small inconveniences in our room: Safe out of order, sink with many cracks, no heating control...
