Location: This romantic hotel is located in the old city center which is the favourite part of Reykjavík. It lies on Aðalstræti, one of Reykjavík’s oldest streets, in a newly renovated building, the oldest part of which was built in 1764. On either side of it, new buildings have been built in the likeness of their historic predecessors Fjalakötturinn.

“Loved this hotel”
This hotel was so nice. It was literally a 2-3 minute walk from bus stop 1 where tour groups picked up and dropped off. The matre d at breakfast (Pavos?) was so nice and helpful. The staff at the desk were very nice and helpful as well. It was very close to restaurants and shops as well.

“highly recommend”
Reception staff are accommodating and friendly. Rooms are clean. Beddings are soft and comfortable, safe box, tv, mini ref, coffee maker....everything is complete. I liked the heated bathroom floor. Near shops, restaurants and bus stop #1.

“Hotel Stay”
Hotel is in a fantastic location. Easy walk to a lot of sights in Reykjavik. Lovely bar. Room basic and clean. Breakfast sets you up for the day ahead although again fairly basic. Would have preferred proper kettle rather than coffee maker but minor point.
